Nice city hotel

Nice old hotel building – in walking distance from the Market Place. The breakfast was OK – so and so – but the logistic was not OK! Shortage of this and then shortage of that. The breakfast room seems a little too small for the number of guest there were at the hotel. We had a nice big room – but the quality of the furniture was not at the level for a hotel room.

Good hotel with amazingly clean rooms. Room was big and recently renovated, lots of space and nice touches like tea and coffee in the room. Big windows let in loads of natural light, and opening windows allowed fresh air which was nice. The location allows for easy access and parking, and then it's a very short walk to the centre of the historic town. Friendly team and good breakfast. As some other people commented, no, they don't speak English - but it turns out the hotel is in Germany, so don't expect it and you'll be fine. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and a smile, a few signs and a bit of patience got me checked in very quickly. Great value, would definitely stay again.

The concierge seemed very annoyed to help us, especially when we didn't know German. He kept throwing up his hand and said no English and I don't know. I tried to use a translator app but he didn't want to use it..instead he asked the guests behind us to translate. It felt very unwelcoming and uncomfortable. It was a shocking experience for us. We have never experience such an inappropriate interaction before. It left a bad impression for us. This is not the best hotel to visit if you don't speak German or want friendlier service.

De ligging van het hotel was prima naast het station, en op loopafstand van de mooie binnenstad. Het hotel was wel wat gedateerd, met een haperende lift. Er was geen ruimte om fietsen te stallen. In de 3 nachten dat wij er waren zijn de lakens of handdoeken niet verschoond. Het ontbijt was minimaal. Er was geen airco of ventilator aanwezig, en wij waren er met 35 graden.

Das Hotel liegt 150 m vom Bahnhof entfernt. Es gibt keine Rezeption, alles wird online erledigt. Bei Fragen ist es schwer jemand zu finden, bei mir gab es ein Problem mit dem Schlüssel, da brauchte ich einige Zeit, bis ich in der Küche eine Mitarbeiterin fand. Das Zimmer war sauber, ausreichend eingerichtet und ist für ein paar Nächte gut geeignet. Leider waren auf dem Gang immer die Türen zu Wäschekammern, Lagerräumen usw. offen, das war kein gemütliches Ambiente. Das Frühstück war nichts außergewöhnliches, aber ausreichend. Verwirrend für mich, dass man als Gast in den Unterschränken nach Gläsern o.ä. suchen musste.

Auf dem 1. Blick auf Expedia nicht ersichtlich: Es handelt sich um ein Online Hotel, man soll eine E-Mail mit Code für den Zimmerschlüssel am Anreisetag erhalten, bei uns leider so nicht geschehen, wir konnten aber nach kurzer Anfrage per KI-Hotline einen Rückruf durch einen Mitarbeiter erzielen, der uns dann den Code für den Schlüssel gegeben hat. Das einzige Personal, welches wir während unserers Aufenthaltes gesehen haben war u. a. die junge Frau während der Frühstückszeit, mit viel Glück bekam man ein "Guten Morgen", nachgefüllt wird hier nicht, wenn um 9:15 Uhr die Hälfte schon weg ist hat man Pech gehabt, den gekauften abgepackten Marmorkuchen könnte man sich meiner Meinung nach sparen. Ausserdem gibt es einen Roomservice, der aber nur zum Putzen kommt wenn man eine Karte in eine Box an der Rezeption wirft. Bei uns wurde dann Klopapier aufgefüllt und das Bett gemacht, Dusche und WC wurde nicht gereinigt. Gebucht hatte ich ein Deluxe-Doppelzimmer, das Zimmer ist groß aber die Möbel alt und die Türen der Dusche sollten dringend erneuert werden. Der Wellnessbereich besteht aus einer Trockensauna und einer Infrarotkabine die man selbst anschalten kann und einen Ruheraum mit Liegen. Fazit: Für 1-3 Tage Aufenthalt in Ordnung.

Morgenmaden var ikke på højde med hvad vi har oplevet på andre tyske hoteller. Brødet var direkte fra fryseren, kom man for tidligt ned for at spise var det ikke helt optøet. Senere var det bare kedeligt og tørt. Ofte manglede der røræg og blødkogte æg. Yoghurten var ulækker og med klumper, de blandede frugter manglede ofte. Sukkerskålene blev ikke vasket før ny påfyldning, så der var gamle klumper i skålen og på skeen. Vi påtalte det overfor en inspektør, der var på besøg. Vi forventede naturligvis at brød mm var lunt og sprødt dagene efter, men der var intet ændret.

Vælg ikke dette hotel hvis du ønsker en spa oplevelse. Der er en kabine sauna, nogle liggestole og en bruser i kælderen. Da vi spurgte til behandlinger blev vi henvist til saunaen. Pænt rent værelse, med mulighed for gratis rengøring i løbet af opholdet.
