Relax at el Puerto

My husband and I had a nice relaxing time, especially at the pool. The traditional breakfast was delicious and large portions. Hotel is dated but a decent place, the casino is closed. Entire staff was welcoming and courteous, will stay there again if I go back to Puntarenas (el Puerto).

Great location, staff was very helpful, the breakfast was very good, beachfront and very close to the lighthouse which is a must go in your stay in Puntarenas.. The only thing that maybe need an improvement is the A/C unit in our room, the staff gave us options but because our stay was only for a night, we didn’t see the need for a change… I recommend this hotel if you’re looking for options in Puntarenas…

Stay Anywhere but not here.

Firstly, this is NOT a family hotel. We were shocked to see the condition of the room which is beyond description including AC not working, stained bed, extremely dirty and smelly bathrooms and most importantly NOT SAFE AT ALL.! The rooms did not have a proper lock. Most of the things mentioned on the hotel page are incorrect and false information. We had to just book something else in the last minute.

In the first room they gave us, the TV remote didn't work & the shade on the window didn't go down. We were hot & tired from a long trip, but we had to wait while they played around in the room, to try to fix it. Finally, they moved us to another room. There, the hot water was just a trickle. I went to the pool in the morning. It was murky. I couldn't see the bottom. I was paying top dollar for what was a budget experience, at best. Not a good value. Would have to say, never again.

10/10 Muy Bueno. Elegimos el hotel Yadran por la cercania al muelle inside ya que tomamos el Tour a la Isla Tortuga. La experiencia fue muy grata con una ubicación excelente frente al muelle en donde por la noche se llena de antojitos típicos, gente haciendo deporte o simplemente viendo la tranquilidad del mar, por la zona hay gran variedad de restaurantes para cenar, incluso un restaurante Mexicano que nos encanto y recomiendo ampliamente se llama "La Takeria". Las instalaciones del hotel en buenas condiciones, las habitaciones muy espaciosas, la alberca destaca por su tamaño, tienen una tienda 24 horas y eso es excelente por si requieres una bebida o un antojo nocturno, por la mañana sirven desayunos muy ricos y limpios.
