Very nice people. The hotel was in a really great location and we could look out our window at the Atlantic. There was plenty of street parking in the area and Punte del Este is a nice place. Our room was just like the photos but It had a great modern split air conditioner. The monogramed sheets and towels were cool. The furniture was bare bones and old. In desperate need of replacement. We expected this and it was fine. The bathrooms were very nicely remodeled. Unfortunately, the mattress was really bad. We ended up putting both blankets they had in the closet under our bottom sheet to make it more comfy. Every hotel in uruguay seems to have this problem to varying degrees, but this was the worst one we encountered. The breakfast was simple, but nice. We enjoyed our stay, but with some basic new furniture and some touchups you could really step it up.

Masks are mandatory but not enforced. Some staff members would not use them. Street parking is safe, no need to pay for parking. The room was basic, . Air conditioning remote would not work so I was unable to control the temperature. TV would not work. I was not able to reach front desk through the room's phone. The location is very centric. It is great. The lobby is clean and pleasent. The staff is very nice. The breakfast is included and it is very good. They have a nice little patio outside where you can have breakfast. Overall, I was happy with this hotel.

Ok hotel for the money - great location

The hotel is in a great location. For the money it was fine. The room , hallway and lobby were dated. But the bathroom was updated and the shower and sink were nice. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast room is cozy and bright. We only stayed one night so all in all it was good. If I went back to Punta deal este for a longer trip I would choose another hotel.

Great hotel

We stayed here for 6 nights. The staff couldn't be more kind and friendly. The guests were the same. They have many repeat customers. Great location. One block to beach. Close to marina area, and shopping. The front porch was wonderful for sitting with a cocktail or tea, and the attached restaurant served great food, inside or outside dining. Breakfast every morning was very good. lots of selections. I can't say more about the friendly and kind staff.

Great price for the location.

I gave this hotel 4 stars because it was a great price for the location. The hotel itself is old and the rooms are a little run down. Had we paid more for this room I would have given it only 3 stars. The location is wonderful. It is very convenient to get to shopping, bars, and the beach. The room is a decent size and the bedding is adequate. The breakfast is pretty good. It does have some warm foods, which is nice for this price. Some additional things, the door on the rooms are a little flimsy. I think security is okay for the room, but I was a little surprised by them. Just a word of caution, the restaurants nearby can be very expensive. A very simple meal at the nearby pizza place cost almost as much as our hotel room.

Nice little hotel in central Punta del Este

Punta del Este is dead in the winter. It was extremely cold, and we were, what it seemed to be the only guests in the hotel. Nonetheless, it is a beautiful location, and the hotel is more than adequate. Breakfast service was very good, the room was small but comfortable, and we eventually figured out how to make the heater work.
