Our room was very nice, we had the suite with the living room and very large balcony. It was very private and spacious. The towels in the room were old looking, they were clean but they definitely need to update them. We weren’t given any hand towels or washcloths. We called and they brought 2 hand towels and no washcloths. Service was extremely inconsistent, we didn’t get a butler, other people did. During check in, we noticed other people that were checking in were given a tour of the property, we were taken to a staircase and told your room is up there. We were also told to go to the restaurant at 9:00 in the morning to make dinner reservations. Which we did, later we overheard people talking to their butler about making reservations which he did for them. Later in the week we discovered a screen in the buffet that you could make reservations, so we used that. Service at the buffet and bar were touch and go, the bar took a long time and it wasn’t that busy and if you wanted a drink when you went to the buffet, even water, sometimes they’d come over, other times they didn’t or they’d take your drink order and never come back, very inconsistent, same with the pool service.This resort is very quiet, which we liked. There was no bar to sit at which I found strange. The grounds are lovely,we walked to the beach every day instead of taking the shuttle. It’s very safe. The people working at the resort were very friendly. I just think they need to work out a few things.

Had a great 11 night stay at Zel. The staff are friendly and helpful, despite a small language barrier of English. Rooms are spacious but could improve some minor details- had to ring for fresh towels on a few occasions, the sinks were never washed down during stay but bedding spotless and made every day. The bathroom door in our room was slightly broken at the hinge and the hairdryer didn’t work. The restaurants are great and the breakfast options are 10/10. Gets a little boring for lunch and dinner but the pool restaurant is great and can also be used at dinner as well as lunch. Plenty of drink options- staff need more glass/cups and stock. Sometimes they run out of the correct glass ie getting a beer in a wine glass and they run low on stock, often having to get stuff from another bar. Plenty of activities to do in the hotel and entertainment was good and wasn’t something we was expecting. I would stay again. Private beach area is worth all the money- very chilled, great bar and excellent sunbeds. Take the cart which is less than 5 mins and never a wait for one.

Can't recommend Zel Punta Cana highly enough. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, the staff are very kind, attentive, and funny (shout out to Pedro, Suriya and others!) and the whole vibe is elegant chill. We spent a very relaxing week where the only decisions we had to make were what to eat, whether to go to the beach or the pool, and which of the many covered beach- or pool-side chairs to lounge in. The room was spacious and very clean, the food was excellent (healthy and delicious...keto/Paleo compliant if you want). And there was always a spot - no beach towel bingo trying to stake out a spot at the crack of dawn. We're already planning next year's return. Thank you so much Zel

I stayed at this hotel to celebrate my birthday with a group of friends (there were 10 of us in total), and thanks to Romina, my experience was truly excellent. She took care of all the assistance and logistics to make the celebration a success: she organized the cake, the restaurant reservation and decoration, surprised me with a beautiful birthday gift, and even took Polaroid photos for us to keep as a memory. She checked in on me throughout my stay and always went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Her attention truly made a difference in our experience. As for the hotel itself, the property is beautiful, modern, and peaceful. The vibe is modern and boho-chic, and the background music is perfect for relaxing, chatting, sunbathing, or even reading. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable, modern, and extremely clean, with many amenities that make the stay even more enjoyable. As a suggestion, it would be great to have more vegetarian options. However, I would like to highlight that one evening, Chef Simeon prepared customized vegetarian dishes for us, which was the highlight of the night and a gesture we truly appreciated. As for areas of improvement, we noticed that not all staff members were equally attentive; at times the service was a bit slow and the attitude could have been better. Additionally, the internet connection was not always optimal.

In general it was great, but we had a few issues with a reservation in a restaurant and they had miscommunication, they told us about a party at the beach, they supposed to have tapas and open bar and 2 hr before a lady came to us and told us that we must buy a bottle to be able to joing the party, at the end we went expecting to be kick out... but turns out that was a miscommunication of the staff from the hotel. During our last night, we wanted to go to Volcano restaurant, we loved a plate from them... so, we wanted before leaving, and ohhh that night it wasn'tavailable, I told the waiter about it and the next thing, the chef was talking with us, explainedthe process of the dish and he told us that it need it little more of cooking, but if i want it he could check if there were a piece ready, ans it was!!!! So, we where very glad for the kindness of chef Paulino. The room was comfy and spacious, food was great, all the staff was very gentle. Oh, and the front desk coffee machine was amazing!

Overall, our experience at Zel was very good. I will review based on areas of strength and weakness: Strengths - Very hospitable staff—always willing to help, go the extra mile, and do anything within their capability to improve your experience. Our concierge Rafael (Rafi) was definitely a standout to us. - Beautiful design, decor, and overall vibe. Zel very much encompasses a boho/Mediterranean vibe, and the feel of every space from the lobby to the hallways to the rooms themselves was very calming and aesthetically pleasing. - Incredible pools. The resort has multiple pools including a shallow one specifically for children, and the pools never felt crowded. They were also extremely clean and well-maintained. There were multiple different water features, whirlpools, and swim-up eating/lounging areas built in. There was a pool for everyone—the main pool had lots of events including poolside dancing, yoga, Pilates etc. and the pools to the side were much more calm and less populated for those wanting a more relaxed atmosphere. -

El resort es muy bonito, la decoración y cada detalle en sí es precioso y diferente. Hay varias opciones de restaurantes me encantó el de carnes y el de playa y los demás también la comida era buena. Las habitaciones son una maravilla, la decoración, olor todo. Las piscinas limpias pero el agua un poco fría, los tragos eran buenos y el personal en su mayoría daban un buen servicio personalizado. Lo único que podría decir que pueden mejorar es que solo hay un buffet y las opiniones de comida son extremadamente limitadas y un poco frías. Pero tienen la opción de comer en los restaurantes sin reserva así que it’s Okay
