Review of Our Stay at Meliá Punta Cana Hotel & Spa
Overall, my recent stay in Punta Cana was a fantastic experience with just a few areas for improvement. The resort’s exterior, pools, bars, restaurants, and grounds were absolutely 5-star—beautifully maintained and truly stunning. The outdoor vibe was everything you’d hope for in a tropical getaway.
Inside the room, however, things were a bit less impressive. The furniture and cleanliness were about 4 stars, and the bathroom closer to 3.5 stars. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely room for improvement compared to the rest of the property.
The entertainment team—Maria Maria, Gerlyn, and Jefferey “Chocolate Sexy”—were phenomenal, 5 stars all the way, and our concierge Jenika was incredible. They were fun, energetic, and welcoming, making every guest feel included and entertained. They truly elevated the experience.
The food was outstanding for an all-inclusive resort. One thing I really appreciated is that they don’t nickel-and-dime you for extras or hit you with confusing charges. Everything is clear and upfront, which makes for a stress-free stay.
If you’re not familiar with Meliá Punta Cana, it’s important to know that the resort is split into two distinct areas:
• One side has the entertainment and restaurants.
• The other side is where the beach and pools are.
