> The hotel lacks proper maintenance, and there are several neglected areas throughout the property. While some staff members are friendly and others are not, this seems to be part of the Dominican personality. The food also leaves a lot to be desired. Regarding the facilities, the pool water is very cold, and the jacuzzi water is also completely cold. The spa is quite neglected in the hydrotherapy areas; however, the massage experience was excellent, as the therapist was outstanding and the massage room itself was in excellent condition. On a positive note, the housekeeping service was excellent, and the staff is very attentive to keeping the bathrooms clean at all times, including those near the pool area. The hotel does not provide an ironing board or a regular iron, only a steamer, and there is no hook to hang clothes, which makes ironing less convenient. As for the beach, it is important to consider that it is located on the Atlantic Ocean side, therefore the water is not turquoise blue. The staff working at the bar near the cafeteria are very pleasant and provide good service. Finally, the hotel did a very good job organizing the new year party despite the rain. The DJ was excellent; however, the live band was terrible.

Room was amazing, the birthday setup was affordable yet so memorable. Every worker was nice and food was amazingggg! There are many activities hosted on the resort so you’re never bored. If you didn’t plan ahead, there are also many opportunities to book excursions there. 10/10 recommended. This was my first out the country trip and I want to visit it again!

the room was beautifullll. i lovee how when you come check in your welcomed with a drink and it’s sooo good!! all the staff were so nice. there were events every night and i really enjoyed the fire show omggg they did a great job! overall i enjoyed my stay and the breakfast options were amazing! they have slot of options and everything is fresh. there is an option for room service for breakfast but i recommend getting breakfast yourself it’s more options!the beach is beautiful and there are people on the beach that can plan your excursions for you as well! overall 10/10 experience!!

Room was kept clean. Had a few towels with mascara that were either already used (not ours) or just didn’t get clean from the wash. They replaced them when asked though and daily. Amenities were great. Good variety of food. Quality was iffy. Some good some not great. New Year’s Eve food was freaking fantastic! Not kidding best lobster I’ve ever had. I kinda felt cheated though as at all the restaurants on the daily menus when it says lobster I’d actually get shrimp. I asked where the lobster was and they said it was in the broth… daily menu is a bit misleading (happened at a lot of the restaurants in the lobster items). Also, only had one buffet open for lunch. Nothing else. I was upset to find out there were no lunch sit down restaurants. Only if you paid extra to be an exhale member which I think is crazy. Loved that we could go between the resorts! There were only like 10 free tubes for the lazy river though at dreams onyx. This was sad. Pool water at both resorts were freezing! The ocean was warmer. Staff was great, friendly and fun!

We sent the following to the customer service manager 1. On arrival Fri at 6:30 pm when we were tired and hungry front desk clerk immediately tried to upsell us xhale saying our booked room would be noisy we would be very limited in restaurants and could only use public beach. I asked him how much he said $120 per night. When we said no he asked how much we would pay. I said no. I negotiate all year long and didn’t go on vacation at an all inclusive resort to negotiate. He did not tell us about downloading app restaurants on property or anything else. 2. When we reached room and went out on patio water was overflowing from balcony above. Called Jhanna it was fixed when we came back from dinner 3. Luggage took 90 min to get to room and we had to call twice. 4. When we attempted to use bidet it filled and it turned out the control for the drain was broken. We texted Jhanna it was fixed by leaving drain permanently open which was fine but whenever this room is used that must be checked. 5. Hooks on front curtain tear sheer curtain when closing and end of curtain is frayed. At one point curtains couldn’t close. Texted and they were fixed but continue to catch and tear when closing 6. We were out on patio and accidentally closed door behind us. It locked. There needs to be a sign warning guests about that. 7. In general buffet at spoon is crowded claustrophobic and feels like a school cafeteria

Entertainment was amazing. Really fun resort but the service is nothing to brag about. Not the most friendly staff. The check in is by far the most disappointing part of the trip. Do not think that having any Expedia status will give you an upgrade at all… even if available. They said it’s only on low season, and it’s not based on availability because there were upgrades available but they wanted money for them. The birthday package is also one price on their site but then three times more when you try to do it.
