The resort was marketed as a five star resort but it was misleading. The building does not have an elevator, my first night was a mess because my AC broke down, and the heat was turned on automatically/broken.. I could not sleep in that room the first night, but I was able to get a new room the next day. Room needs some upkeep but the pools and beach are nice and neat. Buffet food was decent and we enjoyed the premium dine in experience for dinner time.

My friends and I stayed at Bahia Principe Aquamarine and it was quite disappointing. Two of the 4 rooms we booked had broken AC’s, molding smell, dirty towels, foul smelling bed linens, and cockroaches in on of the rooms. We did appreciate the staff for changing out the rooms but it was still within the same building and looked the same as the original room. The rooms were very outdated and old with stains in the bathroom. All of our faucets and shower temperature were not working properly either. We only had very hot water no matter how much we adjusted the faucet knobs. In regards to dining, we were only able to book 3 a la carte restaurants for dinner so the other meals we had was at the buffet. We were getting tired of having breakfast and lunch at the same buffet for a few days in a row. They did have a decent selection of food but it was the same restaurant for each meal. They did not give us access to the other buffets on the resort. There weren’t many bars around either. The staff was ok too but compared to other resorts I stayed at, they weren’t as welcoming but will help if needed. One of the privilege club staff that drove the black golf cart demanded for tip of $5 when we asked for a ride late at night, we respectfully declined and waited for a regular shuttle instead. The shuttle service wasn’t too bad overall. In the end, we still had fun given the situations but I would not be coming back nor would I recommend Bahia Principe Aquamarine.

The best experience ever we had just a wonderful time the staff was amazing especially, the entertainment guys Mauro , José , Gabriel, Isaac, and the staff from the buffet were amazing too all of them but we had our special guys Luis and Alexander wonderful young man’s.

The lobby in Aquamarine lacked proper ventilation or ac. the main bar was closed and a side bar as well as the beach bar were not providing any good services. When we try to see different resorts within Bahia for the next trip, we were forced to stay off for an unspecified reason. Security call for a manager who also didn’t speak English, refused to help us out. I won’t recommend this resort to anybody.

Shower water is either scolding hot or cold. Shower only drips out water. Toilet ran all the time. Staff never appeared happy. Adult only was a party poo most of the time. Language barrier was terrible most didn’t know English or anything about the resort. Not truly all inclusive. Well drinks and 1 tap beer was all the included. Can only drink at bars that are assigned to your villas name. Buffet was so so, lost the time cold food. Other pools you have access too as adult only are family and kids also. Over all would not return to this or any of Bahia Principe properties.
