We fell in love with our 1 bedroom apartment. It was beautiful and had a spectacular view of the ocean. The staff was so friendly, helpful and kind. We only got a couple of the staff’s names but one was Wairy in the office and she answered all of our questions and helped us rebook the same apartment for March. The young fella who checked us in was helpful and so nice. He was always smiling. We had difficulty with the safe and the tv. He came back to our room immediately to try to remedy the problem. Hopefully they did get the safe fixed for the next guests. Calvin was one of the security team staff and he was awesome. They entire staff went out of their way to acknowledge you. I was expecting more lounge chairs on the beach though. There’s maybe 9 or 10. It does say private beach but there were people from neighbouring apartment/condo buildings using them which I found odd. I would have been upset if there weren’t any free to use because of that but we didn’t run into that this trip but I could see it happening. We are not new to staying in Cabarete but this was our favourite stay so far. So much that we are returning in 2 months. We love that we can walk the beach to our fav little beach spots and there are 2 grocery stores within a 10 minute walk. The new Janet’s plus is very nice and closer than the original Janet’s. We look forward to our return trip and are sure it won’t be our last at Ultravioleta.

The hotel was nice and well maintained. The grounds crew worked on the property daily to ensure a nice appearance. The staff were all very friendly. I felt the price was not worth it though. It was an expensive hotel to stay in, the bar with food and drinks were overpriced. Expedia marked this hotel as reserve now pay later with no deposit required and free cancelation up to several days prior to stay. About two months prior to my stay, I got a Whatsapp message directly from the hotel requiring 50% for a deposit and that should I cancel, I would only get 50% of that refunded back. When I questioned it and even contacted an Expedia representative, the Expedia rep contacted the hotel and later informed me that I had to pay the deposit. I was very upset with Expedia because they falsely advertised the listing and did not support the agreement I signed onto. I refused to pay the deposit, which later the hotel receptionist allowed my reservation to commence without a deposit. The place is very beautiful. We had a 3 bedroom unit with private pool. The last night of our stay, we saw a small white mouse scurrying around inside of our unit that caused several in our party to be unsettled for the remainder of our stay. Overall, the property is nice. The lounge area by the bar and beach is very relaxing and nice. And the staff are extra friendly. But I feel it overpriced with a feeling of having a lack of privacy and would not stay here again.

Good but not ready for prime time. Location was great, very safe and quiet. Staff was beyond excellent and communication was fast and easy. We stayed in the penthouse 301b. Layout was great. Very large space. 5 bathrooms! Just some feedback for owner. Doors to balconies lacked handles, did not close, there was no washer or dryer in the unit nor on site (a big no no for a penthouse at the beach), there was no gym on site either. Bathrooms had almost no place to hang towels, some closets had no bar, the AC did not work in the children’s room (AC was great everywhere else) and the elevator to the room was cool until you realized there’s no way to “lock it”. We had a code but so did all the staff. Just some food for thought for the owners. Maybe a private code and staff has access to the front door which had a lock.

Double charged me and argues with me about it. Shame. Had such a great experience two years ago. This time they truly stopped caring about guest experience. With construction next door from dawn until 10pm. Horrible. Could at least try to fix your blatant billing errors.

A fine place with a few hick ups.

The property was overall great. Service was outstanding. The kitchen extractor in my apartment didn’t work. That was the only problem. Another issue, they show a very nice gym as available on the property for use by guests. However, when you ask the staff to use the gym, they say it is for the owners only. Why are they posting pictures of the gym if one cannot use it?? False advertising- not good. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Beautiful property but for a luxury property I would have expected better amenities. No blow dryer in either bathroom ( you had to request). No amenities in the kitchen, not even salt. Resturant food was excellent but very limited. It is suppose to be a combination of hotel and apartment but falls a bit short

We stayed at Ultra Violet and it was amazing! Beautiful property, wonderful room, friendly staff, and super convenient—just 10 minutes from downtown. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!
