The pool was very dirty and the beach was full of sea plants washed ashore. My wife got Strept throat, while at the resort. We think maybe was the dirty pool! They should have had workers late evening and early morning picking up All the sea weed! This used to be a Much Nicer and cleaner resort 15 years ago…

I had one of the worst experiences at Iberostar Resort in Puerto Plata. During my stay, I found a bed bug on the bed in my room. This is completely unacceptable for a resort that claims to be of high standard. Finding something like this made me feel uncomfortable, unsafe, and ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. Cleanliness and hygiene should be the top priority in any hotel, especially one that advertises itself as a luxury resort. I reported the issue, but the situation left me extremely disappointed. For the price and reputation of this brand, I expected much better. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this resort and will not be returning.
