I loved my trip to Iguazu and my stay at Selvaje Lodge. There’s definitely a jungle feel to the place! The staff was very helpful and were a great help to me when planning my trip - their response to correspondence was quick. You don’t need to worry about Ubers or taxis because there are always drivers there who work for the hotel. Ask for Jorge B. - he’s awesome!

Inconsistente

Empecemos por lo bueno: el entorno, el lobby, las habitaciones. Muy lindo, muy bien puesto. Lo malo: experiencia de hotel muy pobre. Llegamos y nos enteramos que el restaurante estaba cerrado y reabria sus puertas dos días después. Ni idea por qué, no lo dijeron. Alternativas: caminar al hotel lindero, delivery de pizzas, o viajar a Puerto Iguazú a cenar (obviamente sumando transporte). Una barra vacía, sin personal, sin poder tomar un trago al bajar el sol al lado de la pileta. Lobby vacío el fin de semana, sin vida, sin personal... Muy inconsistente, sobre todo cuando uno se hospeda en el medio de la selva y depende de su hotel y los servicios, necesita servicio y vida de hotel. Selvaje no la tuvo excepto el último día que nos regresábamos, lo cual fue tarde. Una pena.

El hotel tiene un enorme potencial, con mucha naturaleza por todos lados, linda infraestructura, pero mi estadía no fue muy buena. Primero por la habitación que tenía olor muy fuerte a humedad (la mejor categoría del hotel), segundo por el restaurante que no funcionó para nada en un lugar donde no hay nada cercano y por último la pileta que no tenía servicio de bar. Para mi fue muy decepcionante, impactando indudablemente mi experiencia en el lugar.

Overall nice property surrounded by nature. No food options other than breakfast (Aug 2025) and given its remote location, this can be a little inconvenient. Room smelled a little musty presumably because of the humidity.

Ideal para descansar

Es un lugar muy tranquilo e inmersivo. Muy lindas y comodas las instalaciones. La atencion del personal de primera; muy atentos. Nos dieron unos macarons de bienvenida y unos tragos de cortesía. Si no tenes movilidad desde la recepción te facilitan la contratación de transporte. Por politica del hotel, no pudimos alimentar a un perrito que no se encontraba en muy buenas condiciones en la puerta, asi que tuvimos que hacerlo un poco mas alejado de la entrada. La zona no es peligrosa pero hay tribus y familias muy humildes en situaciones muy precarias, por consiguiente la situacion de los animales.

Great friendly staff. Restaurant staff especially nice. Surprisingly good food and quite an amazing wine list for such a small hotel. Located about 15 minutes to the falls. Cab ride was about 25,000 peso and there was a cab outside ready to go. We paid the same amount from the airport too! We didn't use the pool as it was not that hot, but it was beautifully maintained ad welcoming. It's also close to town. although we never went there due to lack of time. Great find!
