This Provincetown cottage is one of the best hidden lodging gems I’ve found in years. I almost didn’t want to review it and give away the secret! The location is hard to beat. It’s about a 5-minute walk to Boatslip, Gifford House, Purgatory and Shipwreck — and even less to Joe Coffee. Because it sits near Bradford and Winthrop, you’re close to the action without the noise of Commercial Street. The cottage appears recently renovated and is bright, clean and well maintained. It’s essentially a studio with a Murphy bed that comfortably sleeps two. I left it down during my stay, but folding it up would create a comfortable space for relaxing or remote work. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, dishwasher and washer-dryer combo, along with plenty of counter space. Hanging space is limited, but there was more than enough room for folded clothes and luggage. The bathroom was my favorite feature. At 6-foot-3, I appreciated having a full-size bathroom and spacious, beautiful shower — not easy to find in Ptown. The towels were among the softest I’ve used while traveling. The blinds provide privacy while still allowing plenty of natural light. Parking is not included for the cottage, but the Grace Hall lot is an easy 5-minute walk.Communication with the property manager was consistently fast and helpful. For a solo traveler or couple seeking a quiet, comfortable stay close to everything, this cottage is an excellent choice. Just save a few dates for me, OK?
