When you arrive at Tradewinds’ elegant location on one of Princeville’s best streets, you will know that you chose wisely. Your family & guests will be delighted by the private courtyard centered on the large pool with swim-up bar, kids' pool, built-in spa & two waterfalls. The poolside entertainment area features a Weber gas BBQ. After dark, glow in the dark European ceramic pool tile creates a wonderful ambiance for a relaxing evening dip.

The House is newly constructed in 2023. The front door of this 2500sf home is approached via the pool area & a large roofed poolside lanai. Additional roofed lanais total about 1000sf giving an expansive indoor/ outdoor living area. Entry is through one of two sliding walls totaling 30ft for seamless indoor/outdoor living. The large great room with a clear fir vaulted ceiling features ample seating & 86" TV. This area includes the kitchen with Wolf, Bosch & Thermador appliances & a beautiful blue glass island. Cool polished floors & elegant white, grey, and blue tones add to the feeling of spaciousness throughout.

Every detail of the home was meticulously designed over five years of owning the land before construction began. Two separate wings place each of the four main bedrooms on a corner for privacy. The poolside of the H-shaped house faces North-East to capture the trade winds. With 3-sided ventilation in all main rooms &bedrooms, breezes waft constantly throughout. Although individually controlled Mitsubishi silent AC is also provided, it is usually not needed.

The four main bathrooms have Grohe rain showers & soaker tubs. Private lava rock garden showers with exposed copper rain heads & growing orchids open off both master bathrooms. The matching poolside shower is mounted on a beautifully decorated surfboard.

Two equal but different covered great room lanais on opposite sides of the property offer choices of sun, shade, cool & warmth throughout the day & night. The two master suites have California king beds & the two additional rooms feature king-size beds. All room have covered lanais.

There is a fifth sleeping area with a sofa-bed, bathroom & desk.

Absolutely beautiful home, fit our family perfectly, was so awesome to have beach toys and bikes! However, the couch was so so so dirty, we allHad a hard time sitting on it. And rugs in the bathrooms were so dirty, avoided stepping on those for sure! Freezer in the kitchen kept being frozen shut so we kept our frozen food out in the garage. The giant tv burned out, but they were able to replace that so we could watch Christmas shows together! Yay! Overall a good experience!

Family vacation

This home is wonderful! Being within walking distance to some of the beaches is a great advantage given the limited parking available. Having our own pool and hot tub was also really great.

Magical Vacation

Perfect Kauai getaway

My family stayed at Tradewinds for Christmas and New Years 2023/24. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is perfectly set up and comfortable for 8 people. The location provides super easy access to all things North Shore. The host was very responsive. We would go back in a heartbeat. PS - the albatrosses nesting in the backyard was a very cool bonus!

The property was everything you could want. Fabulous Pool and spa, bikes, e-bikes, surf boards, body boards, snorkeling equipment! The host has not forgotten a thing! It makes being active and having the vacation of a lifetime where you don’t have to rent anything! The house is set up perfectly, with suites for everyone, we had family of 8! Amazing Kauai Home

We couldn’t have had a better experience staying at this property! The location to Hanalei Bay was incredible, very close to restaurants, beaches and amazing views. The house was in perfect condition and the four bedrooms had great privacy. The washer and dryer was a live saver after all our hikes. The pool and hot tub were great after a long day or alternative to the beach. The property is stocked with everything you might need in Kauai to surf, snorkel, or spend a day at the beach. The owner Simon was an absolute joy to communicate with and provided us with great recommendations! Make sure to rent a car as you will need it and be okay with a bit of rain! We will definitely be back.

Kawai with family

We had a nine day trip with her son and daughters and two infants. The house was clean and well-maintained. With exception of the main refrigerator was not working. The Home has 4 bedrooms with king beds with own bathroom. Small study is not air-conditioned but could be used for maybe additional one-2 persons. The pool is nice Nice functioning Weber grill. The garage has several bicycles and some snorkeling equipment, The Home is located on the sixth hole of the Makai golf course. A short walk across the course you can see the ocean and nice views of the sunset. Queen’s bath is a short walk but somewhat of a treacherous trail as it has tremendous mud and is very slippery. hanalei bay is a 15 minute drive but very easy to park. The one hotel is about 1 mile away.
