Beautiful Princeville Pali Ke Kua condo perched on a cliff overlooking Bali Hai, with unobstructed views of the ocean, sunsets, waterfalls, and rainbows. Turtles can be seen swimming in the cove below. December through April whales can be seen on their journey to and from Alaska. This corner unit has spectacular views from every room and the best views on the North Shore. Just read our reviews! Photos in our listing are the actual views from our unit.

Sleeps 4, with queen bed in master bedroom and queen bed in large open loft (loft is not fully private). 2 full baths with showers. Generously equipped kitchen, free wifi, smart TVs with cable, washer and dryer. Kitchen & bathrooms remodeled. Tinted windows and roller shades on lanai to reduce afternoon sun.

Many beach supplies including chairs, mats, towels, coolers, umbrellas, snorkel equipment, boogie boards.

Large collection of Hawaiian music, movies and books. Games, puzzles.

Walk to the beach just below our unit on a steep, but paved trail, where you can swim and experience amazing snorkeling. Hanalei Bay is just a 10 minute drive - the most picturesque spot in all of Hawaii. Hiking trails can be found nearby such as the world famous Kalalau Trail on the Na Pali coast. Don't miss taking a day trip to the other side of Kauai to see Waimea Canyon, known as the Grand Canyon of the islands.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1. A/C: We intentionally chose not to include air conditioning in our corner unit, as we value the natural Hawaiian trade winds that flow through Pali Ke Kua. These units are not designed to be sealed air-tight. With multiple ceiling fans and portable fans, the space remains comfortably breezy throughout most of the year (July-September are the warmest months). This choice is part of the authentic island experience we enjoy here. If air conditioning is a priority for your stay, there are other Pali Ke Kua units that offer it. We kindly ask that you take this into consideration when booking and sharing feedback.

2. Not wheelchair accessible. No elevator. Must use stairs both outside and inside the unit.

3. Pali Ke Kua is a smoke free property. Smoking/vaping is not allowed indoors, on the balcony of our unit, or anywhere outdoors on the Pali Ke Kua property.

4. We do NOT normally accept reservations for a duration of more than 30 days. If you are looking for a longer term reservation, please inquire first.

I have been to Kauai 4 times in the last 4 years. I can say with certainty this is the best condo we have rented on the Island! The owner Toni was very communicative and made sure everything was great. The condo is nicely appointed and has everything you could need for a Hawaiian vacation. All you need to pack is your clothes. The beds were very comfortable and the Tradewinds kept the condo very comfortable even though it was August. Finally the views, OMG the pictures she has don't do it justice! It was like looking at a screen saver every morning waking up with a coffee and every evening watching the sun set off of the deck! Highly recommend this condo!

We enjoyed our time here. The view from the downstairs portion of the unit is stunning. The cabinets were stocked with dishes/utensils. The wifi was easy to connect to and reliable. The condo complex was well-maintained. Parking was located a very short walk from the unit and I never had issues finding a space. The location is good - a short walk to Hideaway Beach (and hideaway lookout, for those who prefer not to adventure down the surprisingly steep trail to get to the beach), short drive to the golf course, and a quick drive into Hanalei or nearby Kilauea. The area is peaceful. There is plenty of beach gear available in the upstairs closet. Also, the owners were transparent about ongoing construction in advance of our stay (the construction was far away from our unit). There were some opportunities for improvement. There was less air flow through the unit than I expected. This may have been partially due to the weather and time of year. The owners provided a generous number of fans - even with all on full blast and with the wind and rains that would come through, we had some difficulty bringing the temp down in the evenings. This affected the loft area more than downstairs. A/C would be a tremendous addition. The only other minor issue we had was related to bugs (earwigs and flying roaches) that somehow made their way in despite all obvious entry points closed. Not overwhelming by any means, but more than expected for a vacation rental.

The Best!

A wonderful time away from a busy schedule. The condo was perfect for us. Very comfortable, quiet and we spent many (most) of our days on the lanai. If you sit just right, the palm tree blocks out Pua Poa and you really feel like you have the whole place to yourself. You can watch all the comings and goings from Hideaways and Secret Beach.Very clean & well appointed...solar shades were great, the screen door on the main door was perfect for cross breezes and PLENTY of fans. There was nothing missing!We had a small issue in the beginning and Toni was on it right away and it was resolved within 24 hours. Could not ask for a better host. Thank you Toni! We've already booked for next year !! Carol

Amazing Location on the North Shore

We loved our stay at this property. It was just as listed. The view couldn't be beat. The property was so quiet and relaxing and the home had everything we could need for our stay- in the kitchen, beach and pool toys, etc. As noted there was no AC, which we were nervous about in July. But we figured out to close the shades during the day while we were gone and use the door screens in the evening when we returned for cross ventilation. We've already recommended this property to friends and can't wait to return.

The location is divine. The sunsets are gorgeous. There are nice breezes that flow through the rooms. The kitchen is well equipped, and there are lots of water toys upstairs should you choose to use them.

Nice view and thunderous sounds from the ocean waves. Be aware that there is no A/C, which makes sleeping in the upstairs loft quite warm. Hundreds of tiny bugs would come in through the screens. Other wise, great stay.

Charming Place with Stellar Views

We found this condo to be everything we needed for a perfect 5 night stay. The location offers beautiful views of the coastline and a couple of beaches below. The grounds are lovely, quiet and easy for walking. The condo is thoughtfully equipped with all essentials. We found the bed in the master to be quite soft but it did not keep us from enjoying our stay. We were quite comfortable in the living areas inside and out! Hannalei is a quick drive away. However, Princeville has a shopping area with a great grocery store, a few restaurants, and many conveniences. We were thrilled to snag this rental opportunity for our first visit to Kauai.

Just beautiful, we didn't want to leave.

My biggest complaint with this place is that it makes you unmotivated to leave and explore the rest of the island, because it is so nice. Our stay started with a hiccup however, as the unit had not been cleaned, which was unfortunate after a long day of travel. The manager (and owners) quickly responded and apologized for the oversight. They made it right, and the place looked great afterward. The views are fantastic and the layout is nice. There is no A/C (which would make this place perfect), but there are many fans that kept it tolerable during our warm August visit. Don't forget to utilize the blinds when leaving to keep some heat out. Be sure to walk down to the Pali Ke Kua beach. We snorkeled with turtles there and it was awesome. We hope to come back some day for a slower paced visit to really unwind. Mahalo!

Paradise in Princeville

Our condo had the best view in the complex! It is well-stocked with everything you could possible need. Being able to take a path down to Hideaways to snorkel and swim is a definite plus to this property. This was our second stay at Pali Ke Kua, and we highly recommend it!
