Good clean room. All you need, good easy carpark for large van . Hungry Horse for food basic affordable food with a good breakfast for £9: Ideal overnight stop .

Woken at 3:45am by 2 extremely drunk men & a lady sharing the room next door who proceeded to shout and bang until 6:30am. Went to reception and spoke with night manager who was unwilling to intervene in case the situation escalated. Other guests also complained, including a family with young children who were constantly being woke up by the noise & crying. Terrible night, which affected our plans for the next day as we were extremely exhausted. Adjoining pub had no heating for evening meal or breakfast,

The room was comfortable, clean, cosy, the bathroom had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent with welcoming staff to greet us. The reception staff were so kind in the hotel and looked after us when we needed help. Can highly recommend this hotel.

Can I start by thanking Kate on reception who was very helpful when we requested an early check in at 12pm because we were going to a funeral at 2pm. We had travelled 3 hours from the north and she found us an empty room to get changed in which was much appreciated. The room was perfect, clean and warm. The bar was clean and tidy, we only called in for one after the funeral, no problems. The classic breakfast was perfect with plenty to eat and drink and the staff were helpful.

The rooms are dated and need money spending on them . The condition of the room is of wear and tear . Bathroom rusted on appliances , cabinets chipped , curtains not hung properly .
