We were checking out the effigy mounds and Villa Louis and we stayed here one night. The motel has recently been redone, and everything was fine and in good condition (I would fix the area where the hairdryer used to be one the wall but must have fallen off recently, though). Staff were friendly and breakfast was good; your standard waffles, yogurt, cereal, toast, muffins, eggs, sausage and such. Good for the price, especially.

The staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and nicely cooled for the hot day. The facility could use some updating, but it is still a decent place to stay.

For the price, it was a good place. Waffles, eggs, sausage and more at breakfast. Rooms were spacious. The property is not super updated or in the best shape but very clean and sufficient for our weekend stay.

Needs a refresh

Carpet was dirty and some wall areas but bed was clean and very comfy. Bathroom was extremely small and poorly designed. Hot breakfast was cold, no juices, and no decaf coffee. Breakfast tables are in the lobby because there is no breakfast room.

Cleaning requires much more attention to detail. Dirt in corners, etc. "Breakfast" leaves much to be desired. Desk staff seemed very confused about our reservation. We asked for 2 keys, but only received one. A few standard supplies lacking in the room. Will not stay there again.

A Good Place to Stay

Room/Bathroom clean. Comfortable bed. Very quiet in spite of being right on the highway. Stayed two nights…bed made and fresh towels following my first night’s stay. Weather was hot, but the room was comfortably cool. I would stay here again. Good location. Friendly staff.

It was nothing that they showed on internet. Manager & his son run the place. Father did not speak English, son was too busy to help. Took 40 minutes to check in because I had a small dog. Then the keys didn’t work. Noisy-as can be. Said it was remodeled from a Super 8 there is no way. For the price they charged, the lies & lousy management. I would not recommend!!! The son was as rude as can be, dad was nice but didn’t speak English.

not for seniors. no elevator

brought a 93 year old senior and was unable to get a main floor room and there was no elevator. breakfast options were disgusting, fan in bathroom had no cover, remote for tv needed new batteries, bathroom amenities (shampoo) were empty.
