I recently stayed at Hotel Machova and wanted to share an important lesson I learned during my visit. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of not using the safe at the reception to secure my cash while I was at the hotel. After I checked out the room, I discovered that the cash was missing. The hotel’s rules state that they are not responsible for lost personal belongings. It is ultimately my responsibility to keep my valuables secure. Overall, while the hotel itself was ok, this experience has taught me to be more vigilant with my belongings in the future.

The stay at this Hotel was very nice and very easy to walk to locations that I wanted to arrive at in a couple of minutes. Very nice coffee bars and restaurants.

Absolutely shocking

Things weren't great from the get go, the receptionist was super rude when we were checking in. We requested a non smoking room but we're given room 1 which was next to the smoking area and so the room smelt of smoke still. There's also no air conditioning so if you want to cool the room down you have to open the window at the smoking area. The walls are super thin so you can hear everything in the surrounding rooms and outside the rooms. It was incredibly noisey and doors were banging loudly till 1am. On the third day our toilet paper hadn't been topped up and we were running low, we asked for more and were told housekeeping would provide the next day. When we said we didn't have enough to get through the night they said they'd take a look. We never got any toilet roll. I'd never stay here again.

A bit inconvenience to park a car (for free). I can tell that may be difficult, but many hears are jammed with the floor carpet. Staffs are friendly and kind to support sightseeing. Breakfast is good.

Too simple

It was ok but I have some comments. The bathroom is very tiny and stinks. The parking is 1.3 miles away (16 minutes walking fast). Breakfast is fair but simple.

Okay if you don't need wifi or parking

Do not stay in room 2 or 3. There is NO wifi in those two rooms. Room 2 and 3 are also on the ground floor and there was a lot of road noise and young people listening to loud music right outside the window. Parking is a 15 minute walk away, so if you have a car, I'd find another hotel. Breakfast was nice. The front desk was kind and helpful. Easy access to public transportation.

This is a list of the things that are not as claimed by the hotel. 1. Parking is not on-site and is actually 1km (10 minutes) away; during the walk between I did not feel safe. 2. Wifi is useless, off peak times it works but in the evening or morning it is down more often than up. Do not rely on it. 3. Breakfast is there but there isn't much, wasn't impressed but at this point I was well into hating this place. Basically this is a hostel with private rooms. If you are looking for cheap then go for it, otherwise I would pass.

No parking at hotel

Hotel was easy to find, though it was not brought up that you could not park near the hotel. Had to park at sister hotel which was a 10 minute walk away. Bathroom was very very small, to include a low water pressure from the shower head. Bed and breakfast was decent.

Value in a solid location

Overall very solid hotel. Staff was friendly and able to answer questions, provided a map, etc. Parking is included for free at a sister hotel. 4 minute drive, 15 minute walk away. Easy to get into the old town - there is a metro stop a few blocks away or you can walk in about 25 minutes.

Cheap hotel. Ok accommodations

Good cheap hotel. Rooms are small and bathroom even smaller. Beds are very uncomfortable and the bedding is stained. Wifi worked fine. Didn't have the breakfast so I can't speak to that. Hotel profile says 24 hour guest services but no one was there at night or on Sunday. Also, the rooms have physical keys instead of key cards (not very convenient).

Good value

There was a very nice lady in the reception. But during the night, a dark man was working and he seems disturbed by guests. Overall the stay was pleaser. Good location and good value.
