This is the perfect place to stay. Wonderful staff, spacious rooms in a historic building. Such a perfect vibe. The hotel is around the corner from the main drag so you can walk everywhere but it is quiet at night. Highly recommend!

Black Star Hotel: charmy and relaxing place

It was a splendid visit and stay at the hotel. We slept 3 nights. Bed was good, the room have big table and 2 big armchairs, well ventilated, good natural ilumination. Each day have a very clean room. Resume: everything was Ok. And the attendance of the receptionist Jitka... the best. We recommed this beatifull hotel.

The property is truly amazing and the location is perfect. The rooms are a bit warm for sleeping and opening the windows helps but the area is busy with noise. This is all understandable based on the age of the property, you lose some modern convenience for a historical experience..

This is a wonderful little boutique hotel with lovely staff. Super convenient to get to the center of town. We enjoyed walking everywhere. The first floor where our room was is above a couple metal doors that slam all night, and a restaurant therefore we did not get a good sleep. Thankfully the city tends to get a late start in the morning so we were able to sleep in a bit to make up for the noise.

The layout of the room was perfect for our family of five, and the location is hard to beat. Staff was awesome. The only reason I have to knock the rating down a bit was because we didn't have heat or hot water our first night (New Year's Eve). Given the really high cost of the first night it's hard to stomach the fact that we couldn't run a better and couldn't shower for the first 24 hours we had the room. Again, staff was friendly but it took a while to get fixed and is a bit unacceptable when the night cost over $800 for New Years Eve.

I was welcomed with a smile and lots of kindness even though my flight was seriously delayed. Shown to my room and made sure I had evening I needed. Had great recs and when I saw her out and about later she was sure to say hi and introduce me to her friends. I needed to leave some things behind to lessen my pack weight and they took them and assured me they'd be donated. The location was GREAT and as a solo female traveler, I never felt unsafe coming and going, even really late at night.
