The owners are quiet and respectful neighbors, though as with any attached home, occasional everyday sounds may carry between the two spaces. They also have a friendly dog you may hear from time to time

3- The upstairs game room/library features a low railing. For safety, parents must supervise children at all times when using this area.

4- Pets are welcome — up to 2 pets with a $150 per pet fee (or $300 total for two).

5- Like any nature-forward waterfront retreat, you may encounter the occasional insect or small critter — keeping doors and windows closed goes a long way.

Make use of convenient amenities, which include an arcade/game room and barbecue grills.

The veiw is spectacular and we were blessed with great weather. We were able to have a great family dinner with a view of submarine activities on the water. Our biggest concern was our emailing with Valta who did not provide fast responses with our inquiries prior to our arrival and once we arrived.. We had great communication and responses from Margaret the caretaker. Initially the quality and number of towels was not sufficient for 8 people. The towels were thin and of poor quality. We were busy with a family wedding and other activities and our request from the Valta was met with questioning of our request. We reached out to Margaret who immediately responded and provided great towels of a quality met the amazing views and cost for the rental home.

Pros: The property was clean. The architecture of the home was beautiful and there were many games, puzzles, etc. The home is near a Naval shipyard, and we got to see a lot of military crafts passing by in front of the home, including a submarine at one point. The owners are overall quiet and respectful. Other than sleep it was a positive stay.Cons: Listing this as an "entire home" for rent is somewhat misleading. The owners live in an "attached ADU" with a separate entrance, however the "ADU" is just a part of the home that is closed off. There are 2 points where this is obvious- one is a door that attaches to the primary bedroom that is sealed shut, but still has a 1" crack underneath where light and noise come through. The owners have a dog that barks, and we were often able to hear things like snoring, moving around, tools being used, etc., almost like having a roommate. If the property were listed at a lower price and it was made clear that the owners live in a part of the home that is just behind a closed door from the primary bedroom, it wouldn't be a big deal, but for the price of the rental and the fact that it is listed as renting an entire home, this was definitely a con. The bed in the primary bedroom was quite uncomfortable, saggy, and noisy, and we had to move to a different bed (the other 2 are not much better) due to back/neck pain and not sleeping. Given the price of the rental, the beds and living room furniture should be much higher quality.

The property was very relaxing, spacious with lots of amenities. The view of the sound was nothing short of amazing and tranquil. We used the rubber boots on site to go walk during low tide which was fun. So much sea life. The selection of movies was extensive. The puzzles on the walls were really cool and unique.
