Regina Dar is a spectacular luxury property located in the heart of Positano, with architectural elements that blend Arab style with the typical style rich in majolica of Positano. After a skilful renovation, which further highlighted the characteristic elements, it is the ideal place to spend your holidays in the name of relaxation, sea and luxury.
The historic building in which it is located is one of the palaces from the late eighteenth century that overlook the sea directly and offer a breathtaking view of the island of Galli and the entire Amalfi coast.
The recent renovation has combined elements of Arab-Mediterranean culture, which for a long time influenced the architecture and building techniques of the maritime republic of Amalfi, such as a majolica basin reminiscent of a hammam, and an ivory-coloured stone floor cut in the shape of an Arab star. To complete it all, there are Vietri majolicas from the early nineteenth century, present in both the kitchen and the dining room, which faithfully reproduce the idea of the stove on which food was cooked in past times.
The ancient majolica tiles return also in the headboards of beds or in open wardrobes, which bring rhythm and colour to large white and luminous spaces. The yellow of the sun and the tiles, the blue of the sea, which can be admired from every room, the purity of white create a sensory mix that gives vibrant emotions.
Let's take a closer look at this wonderful apartment: The entrance is located on the main road, Viale Pasitea, and leads through just five steps directly into the home.
A corridor with glass windows takes us into the living room, which has generous dimensions and is composed of white linen sofas, a table with wrought iron chairs, ceramic jugs and decorations in the Positano style. Between the living room and the dining room there is also a first complete bathroom, which is spacious and features a whirlpool bath with neck massage jet, custom-made and embellished with antique majolica tiles, as well as a shower, WC, bidet and stone sink.
From the living room you access the external terrace, partially covered, to enjoy lunch or dinner even in the hottest months of the year. We also find sun loungers, an outdoor shower and armchairs for outdoor relaxation.
From the living room we go into the dining area, with Vietri majolica tile sideboards, a central wooden table with eight chairs, refrigerator with freezer and the wine bar, stocked with a personal selection available to guests. The kitchen, built under two symmetrical domes, consists of a Carrara marble sink, a work surface with four burners, two of which are induction hobs and two gas. Dishwasher, microwave, electric oven, toaster and D&G kettle in the limited series, inspired by Sicily.
From the dining room you access the first bedroom with a balcony overlooking the sea, large king-size bed and mattress with memory foam topper, blue majolica fireplace and chest of drawers.
The second bedroom has a private bathroom with a large walk-in shower, open wardrobe in blue and yellow majolica tiles, velvet armchair. This room also serves as a passage to the third and last bedroom with a queen-size bed, stucco headboard and majolica tiles, large private bathroom.
It should be noted that the bedrooms can be used completely independently, accessed through the large French doors from the balcony or internally.
