I don’t have a title

I don’t like writing bad reviews. So the good first….house was interesting, heater worked well, big enough for family and enjoyed the history and the owner was very nice and rapid responses. For the not so good. ….fridge was very dirty and stove/oven was dirty, we just chose to eat at relatives house or at a restaurant…..I didn’t wanna clean someone else’s ew on vacation….the beds were either too hard like plywood or the one I slept in ….our heads went downhill and our feet up. By the last two nights our grown kids passed on staying with us and went to relatives to get a good night sleep. I think that maybe the owner has recently purchased this house(idk) and trying to renovate but for me it is not ready to be rented out. Maybe if the beds were comfortable we wouldn’t have noticed the rest. So I’m sorry to owner I’m just being honest.

Great House, great stay

We had a great time at the Founders' House. It was a beautiful old home with tons of character and modern updates. We stayed 2 nights and if we have occasion to be in the area again we will definitely stay again.

Good older but borderline scary house.

The house is in a terrific neighborhood. Very close to Highway, local pub with good food directly across the street. We had a fine stay. The property manager was very responsive. The WiFi was perfect. These older homes just give me the Heebie-jeebies.

Big House

We couldn’t find much other lodging in the area, so this was a good option. Pros: lots of beds and places to sleep. Kitchen is entirely updated. Clean linens and wifi. A kitten kept coming up to the porch to sat hello (we named it whisper). Cons: honestly a little bit creepy as it’s an old house with multiple mirrors in each room. If you’re into the supernatural, this would be an exciting house for you. The bed in the middle room upstairs (green walls) was comically squeaky, and the AC in some rooms needed to be cleaned desperately. The upstairs bathroom also has a sliding shade for the door, meaning you can hear everything going on in there. Privacy was an issue around the bedrooms as well because there were only sheer curtains, and we could see in from the streetside.
