About this property

Grab a latte at the coffee shop downstairs, then walk a block to the floodwall where you'll find 2000 feet of murals showcasing the history of Portsmouth. After that, walk back up 2nd Street and check out the antique shops and local restaurants.

Occupying the entire second floor of a historic building, our loft is a blend of 19th-century architecture and modern comfort. Enjoy high ceilings and transom windows and the original exposed brick. Love to travel with pets? We are a pet-friendly space and welcome your furry friends. Since we are located on 2nd Street in the Historic Boneyfiddle District, you are within walking of distance of Shawnee State University and local shops and restaurants.

We live in the area and work close-by but not in the building.

We love the Boneyfiddle Historic District! Located along the Ohio River, our space is within walking distance of local restaurants, shops, Shawnee State University, and over 2000 feet of floodwall murals. You're also only a short drive (approx. 15 minutes) to Shawnee State Park.

There are 22 steep steps to reach the apartment. It’s a great workout, but unsuitable for those with mobility issues.

When we say "large," we mean it. It's a 1 bedroom with over 1200 square feet so you'll have plenty of space to relax after a day enjoying the city or nearby Shawnee State Park & Forest.

Bedroom: Located at the front of the building, the bedroom features a comfortable king bed which guests love and an arched window bringing in natural light and a view of our historic street.

Living Room: It’s the perfect spot to unwind.

Kitchen & Bath: Situated at the back of the loft, you’ll find a full kitchen ready for a home-cooked meal and the bathroom with walk-in shower.

Laundry: There are laundry facilities on the first floor of the building which are shared with the downstairs apartment.

We want you to love your stay so please note: The Landing, a coffee shop, is located on the first floor of the building. They do have live music which can sometimes be heard in the apartment but is wrapped up by 9 or 10 pm. Here's the basic schedule:

Wednesday 6-8 pm Music jam session
Friday 6-9 pm games or open mic night
Saturday 6-9 pm Live music

Thursday once a month for about an hour there is a worship music duo with a guitar

This was an amazing place to stay when in Portsmouth! I could literally walk to any restaurant or shop that I wanted to go to. Granted, On-street parking was no problem at all. I will definitely stay here again if/when I need to go through Portsmouth!

So nice that our dog was permitted. Unique space, very comfy bed. Stairs were steep for the dog but we helped her by using her harness. Tv was great.

We had the best weekend here! My boyfriend and I were in town for the Shawnee Trail Run and needed a dog-friendly rental — this place was perfect. The apartment is full of charm, featuring original craftsmanship like detailed moldings, wood trim, and exposed brick, all complemented by modern amenities. It’s incredibly spacious, especially the open-concept kitchen and the large master bedroom. The bed was so comfortable I even asked the host for details so I could buy the same mattress!Parking was easy, and the location is super walkable — right in the heart of downtown, above a great local coffee shop and across from a nice restaurant. I especially loved taking our dog for walks to the riverfront in the mornings and at sunset. We couldn't have asked for a better stay! Don't miss this one!

When they say large apartment the mean it. The place is beautiful and spacious. Great location. Once I got there I walked to everything I needed. There is a coffee shop below the apartment. I will stay there again.
