The gentleman at the front desk was super kind, personable and helpful. Great interactions with staff. So my comments are more on management and overall upkeep. Empty vending machines and old equipment that didn’t work or serve a purpose. Felt kind of deserted. Kinda old and dingy vibe. The room was actually ok, but I would not come back.

Great place to stay for the money.

So pleased to stay at this motel. It was a nice surprise. The hot tub was great even though it needs to be replastered terribly. It was clean and nice after days of traveling and hiking. The only issue was our room AC was very noisy which made it hard to sleep. But we would stay again and in fact there was another couple that come to this place every year checking in which verified it’s a great place to stay. If you’re fine with a clean but not quite updated place give it a go.

Good stay. A bit outdated. Curtains and floors were dirty. Cleaned up a small water spill with a white towel and it came up black. Carpets should be replaced to a more safe and clean flooring. Towels were not soft and showers should be updated.

It was alright with some minor issues**

When we opened the window on the third floor, there was no screen. Dangerous. Just a pin holding it in place. There was no remote for the television so my daughter and I got to watch baseball as our only choice. Also the blow dryer did not work at all. People were nice, seemed busy. Also the parking was a little difficult to maneuver, but there was plenty of places to park.

Excellent stay overall.

Excellent one-night stay for a two-star motel. Everything was spotless and in great condition. Bed very comfortable. Right on a main and noisy road, but ac fan took care of that. Unit for fridge and dresser needs replacing. Bathroom very small, no place to put toiletries. No hooks anywhere, but this has become more common in places we've stayed recently. We would definitely stay here again. We have noticed a huge increase in nightly costs at all hotels/motels/airbnbs. For what we got, the price per night at HVI seemed very high.

The staff were welcoming and kind. The common spaces as well as our room were clean and tidy. Our room showed some age (could notice some old paint repairs) plenty of parking, although, the lot could be a little hard to get out of during high volume traffic times as it is on a main drag. Restaurants, pharmacy, grocery store all walking distance! We had a great stay and would visit again.
