Good value for money. Excellent breakfast, poached egg and mushrooms were delicious. I think the room I was in would benefit from removal of the black string decor and change of plug fitting to one with usb fitting. Otherwise as I said goid value.

Great hotel

Great hotel our 2nd visit , will defo go back . lovely friendly staff , very efficient. Nice room ,great to have a bath and shower . Quiet hotel ,good location lovely to be near boating lake . 5 mins to the sea . Great breakfast cooked to order , lots of choice .

It was a very nice room but no ac. Window opened, but did not have screen. Breakfast very good and made to order with some items available for self serve. Downside to access was a 3 step stairway up to access hotel with luggage; a couple steps down inside to get to ground floor room, and had to walk down stairway to basement for breakfast. Lovely park and ice cream shop, lake with small boats and ocean closeby. Town and restaurants within 10 min walk. Helpful staff.

This is the best valued hotel I've stayed so far - literally amazing! The reception and staff at the breakfast bar were so nice. Amazing breakfast as well with great selection. The room is clean and spacious. Would definitely come and stay again next time.

Needs some work

Convenient location but really needs a facelift. Paint and wall paper peeling off walls. Sealant around bath looked like it was done by a 5 year old. None of the decor 'goes' and furniture is really cheap and flimsy. Staff friendly and helpful, but we won't be coming back!

Great place

Its was a great stop before our cruise. Shiloh was such a great help with our room and helping us get around. The check in woman in the morning was wonderful, she helped order us a taxi. The room was clean, big, quiet. The area had a lot of resturants and by the water. If we come back to Portsmouth well stay again!

Good location near the promenade. A few reasonable places to eat out locally. About a 35 min walk to the Hover port to the IoW - about a 12 min trip. The Spinnaker is about 5k away. Breakfast good and efficiently served. Everywhere clean but decor could problem do with some freshening in the next year or so. Would stay again.
