This is an older property but well kept and clean. Front desk service was excellent and helpful. The only detractor is the restaurant is not connected to the main hotel building with no covered walkways during rain.

Let me start by saying that if I could give zero stars, I would. This was the absolute worst stay I’ve ever had in my life. On top of it being extremely hot outside, the temperature in the room would not go down despite the maintenance man “fixing it” 4 times. The wifi didn’t work and we had to use hotspot from a neighbor. We locked the back door and somehow a little girl was able to get into our room. Luckily my husband and I were only talking. Both the front and back door took the both of us to push it for it to fully close. The beach was dirty. Day 2, while we kept the “do not disturb” sign on the front door- a cleaning lady entered through the back door insisting that it was time for her to clean. I tried telling her no thank you, she kept walking further into my room while I was covering myself with a pillow because we had just woken up. She tries to go into the restroom and I tell her my husband is in there. She stands there with me waiting for him to get out to put extra towels and toilet paper. I was absolutely desperate to leave so we ended up finding a different hotel down the road for the rest of our stay. This was the worst part of our honeymoon. We didn't want to waste time fighting with them there so we checked out that morning.

Meh

Positives: the pools are great for kids and the restaurant has good quality food. Negatives: the beds are VERY hard so we didn't get a single nights good sleep during our stay. Also there was an incredibly loud party behind the hotel two nights in a row so our kids had to move to our room (we're talking nightclub-level loudness...) The food in the restaurant is good but the staff seems miserable and also we had random items added to our bill a couple of times (possibly accidentally, but no matter what, it's annoying to feel you need to scrutinize your bill) Yes there is a beach, but it's not fit for swimming due to algae and rocks. The whole week we did not see a single person in the water. Overall this hotel has a lot of facilities but it feels a bit old and tired, and the rooms are fairly basic.

Cheerful, very helpful staff - great breakfast and dinner (with salad and dessert buffets, good wine) right there, beautiful view across the harbor from the dining area - nice pool - spacious, clean room - workout path around the property - 10 min drive to the ferry. Not really walkable. You need a car.

pretty but not conveniebt

Beautiful resort type hotel with pool, tennis courts, beach, walking trails, etc. but too far our of Portoferraio unless you have car. Expensive t axis to see sites and get to and from ferry. Also must eat at resort since it is the only restaurant within walking distance.

Not that great experience

Not friendly check-in, leaking shower which flooded the room not different room was offered instead receptionist asked me to clean it myself and provided extra towels!! Next day new room was provided but still not impressed. Overcharged for kids water, and charged for kids food which we never purchased. Kids area not great, but staff looking after kids and entertainment very polite and friendly. Location great, free beaches away also fab and swimming pool nice.

Enjoyed the stay

The hotel is located on the other side of the port from Portoferraio. We took a cab to get there and it was ~15 Euro. It is a little ways out of town so if you want to do something off site, you need a car or taxi. We wanted to go to Monte Capanna which was an hour away. The hotel clerk gave us a bus schedule and we were able to get there easily and comfortably. The evening meal at the hotel wad tasty but make sure you make a reservation ahead of time. We did not but they managed to squeeze us in. The only thing that I did not like was the blow dryer. You had to keep your finger on the switch or it would turn off.
