Great location just steps from the Duoro River! If you want to be where the action is for an affordable price this works great. If you are claustrophobic you might not appreciate the elevator but other then that it was perfeito! Btw that front desk staff were very helpful!!

Nice property and quick communication. Only complaint is that it had 2 twin beds moved next to each other to make it a double. Not ideal for a couple as the beds kept moving.

This hotel was great for us. Location was awesome!! Staff super friendly and always helpful. Our room though cozy never felt small because of the great use of space. Kitchenette was fairly well- stocked also. Loved it! Would stay again.

We loved the room and location in Porto. The bed was a bit hard for us and an extra towel set might have been nice for two days, I.e. three sets for two people. We loved the code for the doors so we were not walking around with keys to loose :)

Our visit was particularly memorable because Jose and Katrina lat the front desk, who helped us plan activities before and during our trip as well as assisting us with troubleshooting credit card issues created by the BOLT driving service. We always felt well supported before and during our visit. One area of improvement would be some TV access to English TV stations such as the BBC , CNN, and CNBC.

This was a wonderful stay. Even though the staff have limited reception hours they stay available throgh online communication. The room was clean and nice. It was central to all the places I wanted to visit. I felt well taken care of and would highly recommend this stay to others.

This hotel was in a very busy and sometimes noisy area. We spoke to Jose about the noise and he explained the effort to replace windows in a historic building was challenging. He was super friendly and helpful. If you like to be in the center of action and enjoy night life this is perfect for you.

Staff was so helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. It was in such an amazing location, but was still quiet at night. I would definitley suggest staying here if you are visiting Porto!

Shout out to Katarina for communication, friendliness and helpfulness. Beginning with a wonderful staff, staying at VC Ribeira was excellent. You couldn't find a better location. Clean room, comfortable beds, air conditioning, a fridge, microwave and toaster and great little pod-type coffee maker with coffee provided. From there you can choose from many restaurants, walk the winding cobbled streets, shop to your heart's content, walk along the river a half block away or cross the bridge to Gaia, or hop a tour boat. Highly recommend.

The location was fabulous for accessing the liveliness and beauty of the Ribeira with the nearness of Palacio da Bolsa, Igreja de Sao Francisco, the bridge with an easy crossing to the wine cellars of Gaia. Depending on how youre feeling, a moderate walk up to other sights or if youre tired, take the funicular up and youll be at the Se (the Cathedral), Sao Bento, etc. Daily cleaning service, much appreciated. Window really are sound proof. Open to enjoy peek-a-boo view of the river, close at night for a quiet sleep. Remodeled so everythi g in good shape. Yes, the elevator is slow but it works and is great for luggage or when youre too tired to take the stairs. Owners are delightful, everyone helpful, communication before, during, and after was great. Excellent Wi-Fi. Will definitely book again for what I hope will be my ne t trip to Porto.
