We so enjoyed our stay at the Hungarian Biscuit apartment. The comfortable and clean accommodations as well as the very central and convenient location made it ideal. We looked forward to our delicious breakfast at the wonderful cafe downstairs each day and a stroll through the nearby park and nightcap at one of the many cafes each evening. Elisa was very responsive host and made process easy. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at this property! Very clean and comfortable! Great location; never tired of looking at the twin churches across the street or listening to the morning music coming from Lion's Square. Bars and restaurants around the corner! The fact that it was University graduation added to the fun! Breakfast included above a bakery... who could ask for more! Would highly recommend and stay here again!

We really enjoyed staying at the Hungarian Biscuits apartment! Lovely balcony views of the two historic churches (Carmelitas and Carmo) across the street. The complimentary breakfast provided by the downstairs Primar cafe was excellent - the best we had in Portugal!The apartment was very clean, although a bit sparse on furniture/ furnishings. However, it does the trick for a couple traveling together and gives some space to unwind in the living room/balcony area. Walking distance to Livraria Lello and Torre dos Clérigos.

We stayed for a week and had a great time in Porto! It is centrally located on the campus of University of Porto; a 4 minute walk to Clérigos. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the free breakfast in the pastry shop downstairs.

Excellent on all points! We would definitely return and recommend this rental to others. It’s in a perfect location with accessibility to restaurants, old town, and transportation. This property is very good value with an excellent free breakfast for guests, including the delicious pastries baked on site. The entire staff from the managers to the serving staff were friendly, approachable, helpful and had excellent English communication. The neighbourhood is wonderful with so much history featuring the Carmo and Carmelite churches. We enjoyed the street view from the second floor balconies.

A lovely historic building with a magical bakery attached, also owned by the proprietors. The Hungarian Biscuit apartment reveals the amazing Ordem de Carmo church right before your eyes when you pull open the large doors covering the windows. Elisa greets you warmly when you arrive and Luis is manning the bakery to greet you with the breakfast of your choice each morning. (included in the price for the apartment!)So many things to do and bars and restaurants are in the area. I highly recommend the Hungarian Biscuit!

This place is literally so perfectly placed for your trip to Porto. You can walk to Livraria Lello in 10 minutes, Clerigos tower in 10, or down to the Gaia district with port shops and dining on the river in 20. Abundance of great restaurants nearby. Be sure to try Uma Marisqueira 10 steps from your door. The bakery and breakfast are a traveler's dream. The hosts respond in milliseconds! The apartment itself is beautiful! You could stay here for a month and only need to stop out for groceries! The rooms are huge and the espresso was delicious. Everything is spotless, clean and neat. The property is safe and well-secured. The view out our windows was to the beautiful church Igreja do Carmo.*****

Great location! Amazing breakfast! It’s too bad that coffee wasn’t provided for the espresso machine, or shampoo for the shower. There’s also quite a lot of street noise, so be sure to bring ear plugs if you stay here.
