Haven of Peace

Exceptionally well-equipped self-catering studio - even soap, washing-up liquid/cloths provided. Code locks add flexibility to check-in/out. Several units share pleasant outside space tucked away from road noise. Close to buses and a 10-15 minute walk from Francos metro. Supermarkets & restaurants close by. Proprietor very friendly and helpful.

Great stay!

We had a great stay at Porto Island, upon our arrival. we received a warm welcome and lots of recommendations for our visit in Porto. It was easy to reach the city center by bus and metro, but as we had lovely weather we enjoyed the walk in to the center each day, at a leisurely pace it took us about 40-50mins. We visited in the winter, but our hosts had made sure there were blankets and a space heater available which meant we were very comfortable. Excellent grocery store and cafe's are just around the corner and it's a quiet location. Our hosts were very communicative, and easily reached over text. We would absolutely recommend a stay at Porto Island, for anyone who wishes to be comfortable, but out of the hustle and bustle of the city center.

This property was everything that we needed. It was clean, comfortable and close to transportation. We had rented a car and parking was available but if we needed to take the bus it was very close by and convenient. The hosts were very hospitable and made sure everything was taken care of. They offered suggestions for nearby restaurants and were always very accommodating. It was nice to meet the whole family they were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay in Porto.

Ideal place to explore the city

Cosy, quirky, charming chalet style accomodation. Staying here is staying in a part of Porto's history. This Is a porto island. Bijou, funky and functional. Recently refurbished to high standard. Fresh decor, good furnishings, fast wifi, fabulous shower, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen with a gorgeous courtyard garden for breakfast or barbecue or just relaxing.... You will meet the family, who are all delightful, Sofia speaks many languages and is keen to tell you all about the city she loves. You will also meet the other guests in the courtyard, who all seem to be like minded and happy with this little haven.

Die Kommunikation hat sehr gut geklappt. Der Einlass ohne Rezeption war ideal. Erdgeschoss, 1 Fenster zum Innenhof. Die Einrichtung ist schlicht. Das Zimmer/Bad hat alles, was du brauchst. Die Heizung im Bad funktionierte nicht so richtig. Küche mit Toaster, Mikrowelle und Kaffemaschine. Geschirr vorhanden. Das Bett war sehr bequem und wirkte sauber. Wenn du den ganzen Tag unterwegs bist, dann reicht es. Für Leute die gerne im Apartment Zeit verbringen, ist es etwas zu kleinund es fehlt der Ausblick. Im Innenhof kannst du gemütlich draußen essen oder ein Getränk zu dir nehmen. Pluspunkt: Eine süße ältere Anwohnerin hängt dort ihre Wäsche auf und spricht und lacht ohne das wir beide ein Wort verstehen :D Ich fand es gut!
