The room was perfect for our needs as a family. The facilities were great and the location was perfect for wandering for food and sights. Staff was super friendly. We would stay here again.

The staff was amazing, but the upgraded room on the 10th floor was extremely hot. Only one of the two windows opened and the ac unit didn't work. The bed was so hard, i thought it was the box spring. I chose this location because of the pool and jacuzzi, but the water in the jacuzzi was lukewarm. Same temperature as the pool. The breakfast was not good. Only meat options were pork which I don't eat. The fruit was pretty sour and lacked variety. The grounds and lobby are gorgeous and the location proximity is great.

From the greeting as we drove up, to the final farewell it was fantastic. The staff is so well trained and efficient. Most speak multiple languages, which made a difference for us. The valets/ bellmen/ general information gives were so wonderful. We ate the buffet breakfast as well as dining in the restaurant for a lunch and a dinner. Their chef is so creative with fresh and healthy food. I tried so many things I couldn't pronounce. The room we had was absolutely perfect for us. We needed to stretch out and were appreciative of the space. Upscale linens and the room was spotless. The glass enclosed marble show was beautiful and relaxing. We also loved the pool and the spa. Great Swedish massage one afternoon. Hope to return.

More like a 4* with very rude staff

Positives: clean, modern, well furnished, comfortable, lovely (small) pool areas both inside and outdoor at the top of the hotel with lovely views, toiletries, robe, slippers, hairdryer, water, fridge and kettle in room Location: 1 hour walk to Porto, local area has everything you need to eat, drink and shop. Building site right next to hotel which our room looked out on Negatives: staff were not friendly or helpful and quite rude. More hooks needed in the bathroom and glass doors do not offer privacy. Breakfast was basic. Bar and restaurant overpriced. More loungers needed at both pools, bean bags were not pleasant at the outdoor pool. Why this isn’t a 5*: Breakfast: you have to pay extra for things which are usually included at buffet breakfasts and what was there was minimal. No balcony. No coffee machine in the bedroom, awful instant sachets. Mini bar contents were not included, they were no extras to make this a 5* experience.

Not a great location for getting around as uber and bolt take a really long time to arrive there. Definitely would not consider this a 5 star hotel by any means.maybe 3 at best. For the price, i wouldn't say its worth it.

Nice hotel. Great food and great service. Close to public transport to the city and beaches at Foz. Roof top bar is a nice spot but if you dont get a bean bag, the chairs up are not at all comfortable.

The lobby area was immaculate and the staff very friendly, polite and helpful. There were plenty of staff at the front desk so we never waited more than a minute to be seen. The room was spacious and clean and got cleaned to a high standard every day by the cleaning staff. Room service was great as was the food in the restaurant. The pool area was good except the choice of seating was geared more towards the younger generation, myself and my partner found the 'chairs' a little uncomfortable and the beanbags to low to get to. The music in the pool area was ok but the volume way too loud.
