What a great place to stay in Porto ! What they lack in space, they make up in hospitality & accommodations. Everything is clean & fresh, the breakfast was awesome, and the staff is so helpful ! You are at steps from the river, and access to all of the restaurants & shops. We would definitely go back !

You couldn't ask for a better location or more attentive staff. The breakfast was amazing. This historic spot is not large so don't expect a roomy room. Do expect to be in the center of the historic waterfront!

People were excellent: Luís and Alejandro are extremely friendly and helpful during entire stay suggesting places to eat. Gorgeous view of the Ribeira from our room in this well located guest house. The room was tiny but comfortable for a couple having a short stay. We enjoyed the close proximity of some of Porto and Gaia’s best restaurants and destinations. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was abundant and delicious.

We love Guest House Douro! For our first time traveling in Portugal, they welcomed us warmly and showed us great kindness. They were personal and always welcomed us at the door with a conversation and asked if we needed anything. The breakfast was tasty and they made the effort to make things from scratch - truly unheard of in the US. Book a room now. You won't regret it!

This was one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had, with an incredible selection of fresh, exotic fruits. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. This boutique hotel is incredible & the staff were exceptional. The hotel is right on the dock & has access to great restaurants- our staff even escorted us to the best local restaurants. Breakfast is perfect, & the fresh fruit display amazing. This hotel is worth every penny.

Fantastic location. Everything is walkable from here. Next to the river and great views. The rooms are small, but it's Porto on the river. The staff is very accommodating but access to the front door is challenging after hours. Would definitely consider again.

The service stood out as amazing with a feel of concierge service. Alejandro, Luisa and Beatrice made me feel very welcome. The room was very clean and overlooked the iconic river, where you can feel the cool breeze and hear the seagulls and faraway live music. The complimentary breakfast and service can rival any 5-star service and quality.
