This was a beautiful property. We stayed in the garden cottage which was beautiful and very private and peaceful with amazing views of the city. However the floors are wood veneer planks and the subfloor is damaged as well making the floor uneven and cracked in places. The cottage was very clean and beautiful despite this. Breakfast was simple and delivered to our patio in the morning which was very nice. Parking was very easy and secure in the underground area for a fee but worth it. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved staying at the Manor House for São João. We could easily walk to the river front to join the festivities and then walk back to the manor house and enjoy the fireworks from the privacy of our terrace. The staff was amazing! Our only hang up was a bit of bad timing as the manor house’s green house (the unit we rented to stay in) had just had flood and it ruined their beautiful flooring and the bathroom had a moldy smell. But they had plans to fix it so we know we’ll back again another time for more São João fun! I highly recommend the Manor House for any time of the year.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in Porto.The property was clean and well kept. Bed made everyday. Nice towels. But towels not changed everyday unless requested? Compact and well designed room. Lovely view of the town below. We could see the Douro River from our room. Beautiful sunset sky. Simple but nice breakfast. Very friendly staff. Family run guest house.

A gem of a hotel in Gaia

An individual hotel with just four bedrooms. We had a wonderful view across to Porto, and it was generally quiet. The staff and owner were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the terrace was very enjoyable. The bed was large and comfortable though we would have liked a bit more privacy for the toilet and shower room. As we're English we would love to have had a kettle in the room for an early morning cup of tea!! However, the minibar with fridge was very useful. All in all, we would be very happy to return one day!

Wonderful Stay, Great b&b

I’ve traveled a lot in my life and this is probably one of the best stays I’ve ever had. Such a beautiful small hotel/b&b, the rooms are absolute perfection, and the customer service is amazing. They think of everything and they go above and beyond for all of your needs. I will definitely be back, hopefully in the next few months. Oh and the view from the outside sitting area is gorgeous.

Endroit parfait pour rester si vous voulez visiter Porto. Propre, calme, beau, bon déjeuner, personnel incroyable, gentil et accueillant. Nous avons adoré notre expérience. C’est du côté de Gaia, près de la ville de Porto qui se fait bien à pieds, plein de restaurants près à pieds. Le propriétaire nous a donné une coupe de Porto à notre arrivée, bref Unreal.
