This is a very old building that has been completely rebuilt inside and provides practical, modern spaces throughout. We had a large, modern bathroom with separate shower and bathtub, bidet and ample room. The bedroom was also very adequate in size. We did not intend to eat breakfast here, but we checked out the buffet (€12/person) and ate there both days of our stay. Good selection and preparation. Staff members were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Great location just half a block off the popular riverfront.

The location is great- just off the main straight of the river and perfect for exploring Porto. Very well situated hotel, good restaurant near by. Staff friendly and helpful if you have questions. Lovely selection for breakfast, could do with a jug of cold milk though for cereal instead ofveach morning having to ask for it. One young female member of reception gets a very confused though as when giving room number items requested got delivered to another room even though checked room no. 4 times and we never received the request and transfer for going to airport was booked at incorrect time by same member of reception, turned up way too early for us and woke us up! Was re arrange for correct time though later that day. I would go back to this hotel if I come back to Porto in the future

This hotel looks to be a converted old building. While charming, it has some flaws. The rooms on the fourth floor are very hot even with the air conditioner going full blast. The only solution is to open the skylight windows. If you do, you will be treated to a 24 hour serenade of dozens of seagulls screaming their heads off. Make sure to bring ear plugs!
