Very cool rooms with TV in the mirror. The hotel is located very close to Bolhão Market and metro station and the main shopping street Via Caterina. The pool and spa are amazing after a busy day of sightseeing.

I recommend this hotel and found it deserved a five-star rating. This hotel is centrally located near Rua de Santa Catarina. The hotel itself is quite new, modern and stylish. From check-in to check-out all the staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Most staff spoke some English. At check-in we were given flyers for day trips and tours. The breakfast buffet was good and we also had food and drinks at the bar and everything was very well prepared. The housekeeping was thorough and done well every day. Our room had a Nespresso machine, and a mini-bar with water, soft drinks and juice. Overall, this hotel surpassed my expectations and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the staff at the BessaHotel Baixa!!

Amenities and the rooms were great! We enjoyed the breakfast as well. Check-in was not very smooth. The staff should check reservations before speaking, there was some confusion with our booking, it all worked out but added unnecessary stress during check in. They told us we did not book the right amount of rooms when we indeed did.

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience, though there were a few areas that could be improved. • Service: There was an issue with the plug in my room, but it was resolved quickly and efficiently by the staff. • Facilities: The pool and sauna were highlights of my stay. The pool area was a lovely space to relax and unwind, and the sauna added a nice touch to the overall experience. • Amenities: One downside was the lack of hair conditioner in the room. I was surprised to learn that management doesn’t provide this at all, which felt unusual and inconvenient, especially for a hotel of this standard. I had to purchase my own during the stay. • Room: The room itself was comfortable, but the lighting was quite dim. This made getting ready—particularly doing makeup—a bit challenging. Brighter or adjustable lighting would make a big difference. • Late Check‑Out: I appreciated that the hotel accommodated my request for a late check‑out. However, the fee charged was almost the same as the nightly rate, which felt excessive and diminished the goodwill of the gesture. • Location: The hotel’s location was excellent—right in the town, making it easy to explore and enjoy the local area. A great hotel with excellent staff

Everything was excellent, from the airport transfer (supplier nominated by the hotel), the check-in process, the design and decor of the room and common areas, right through to breakfast choices. The team were professional, courteous and extremely helpful, and spoke excellent English. I was so happy that I could open my room window - it makes it easier to sleep. The hotel is conveniently located for the north-eastern side of the city centre, an easy walk to Rua de Santa Catarina and the Mercado do Bolhão and the Bolhão metro station is less than 5 minutes walk away. There is a small gym and a pool in the basement, and the facilities overall were very good.

The rooms are very cool, clean and modern with excellent storage. The staff was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay and the location is excellent, especially if you want to be close to some of the busier areas but away from the noise. You can walk just about anyplace you'd like to see in 15 minutes or less.
