Apparently it was an old newspaper, so that’s the theme of the hotel. The restaurant bar and hotel bar are lovely. There’s lots to do and see within a short walking distance. The staff, especially Tim Caban, Assistant Guest Services Manager, is excellent-top notch! He’s very professional, yet kind and caring. Marriott, you have an excellent employee and they are difficult to find. Marty, at the front door was also great. Remembered our names, was always there, pleasant and personable. People like these two gentlemen can greatly improve your sta.

The Portland Press Hotel is a beautiful property. Everything is well maintained and clean. I was most impressed with the welcoming staff and easy valet parking. I do wish there was better signage for the elevators needing a room key, but that was a minor inconvenience. The simplicity of the rooms with just enough accommodations was perfect. I can't wait to go back!
