Parking was convenient right behind the hotel. Room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. Love the location near excellent dining like Tandem Bakery and Chaval. Nice long walk down to the waterfront in under 1.5 miles.

Romantic Getaway

Everyone working was warm, helpful, and friendly! We felt spoiled on our anniversary trip! The inn was gorgeous, comfortable, and within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Very safe and the cafe across the way was amazing! Very fresh and beautifully decorated!

Love Portland

Staff couldn’t be better. Friendly and informative. Garden level room nicely appointed but noise from room above and refrigerator and a little dark. Very much worth the price.

We had a great stay until we find out that the bedding has stains. It looks like the sheets were not properly washed since the stains was at multiple sheets

The property was absolutely gorgeous, 144 year old mansion turned into a hotel and locally owned. The staff was wonderful. We were greeted by Magdalena who went above and beyond. And our room was so big and comfy. My only small issues were the bed wasn't very comfortable, I'm pregnant and it's very hard. Killed my hips. And the temp control; there are two controls but one the Nest doesn't work at all, and the other works when it wants to. We like to sleep in the cold, so not a big issue.

Tremendous Hotel in Bayside

Beautiful hotel, excellent staff and lots of amazing touches. The room had a few things we'd improve - there's only one mirror (the bathroom) and no full-length one, there are not many outlets, but would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beautifully renovated property, great service, the stuff of Victorian novels! Very clean, very comfortable, and quite beautiful. It made us want to sit around and drink whiskey and write flowery prose. We arrived late, at 7:15, and Tito from the front desk took our large bags and ran them up the stairs as if they were nothing. "I went to the gym today," he said. Although the house was built in the late 1800s, it had all the amenities of the 21st century - WIFI, Nest thermometer, and a good shower. Oh, and at one point, the house was a funeral home. What could be cooler than that?

Hidden Gem in Portland

The Francis was such a lovely stay! We were able to get an early check in before rain settled in. We were immediately met by such a lovely hostess and greeted with hospitality. The room was lovely and very reasonably priced. Additionally, we stopped by the cocktail bar in the Longfellow Hotel (sister property) across the street for great drinks.

Lovely property with great service in Portland

What a lovely property! Even before I arrived, communication was clear about parking and check in (via text). Staff was pleasant and informative at the very speedy check-in. Parking was convenient right behind the hotel. Everything was bright and clean, comfortable and stylish in the lobby/sitting area. My room was on the garden level so a little dark, but I had a window to a courtyard, and it was spacious and spotless. Well appointed with mini bar and snacks, and a very comfy bed. Bathroom was ADA compliant (not needed for me, but clean, big & had all I needed). I was in Portland for a concert just a few minutes walk from the hotel and I'd highly recommend staying here. Commercial street is also walkable from here (20 min?)
