Bargain

While the hotel is dated, it was clean, much quieter than I had imagined, friendly staff, and honestly a bargain. It was a bit removed from greater Portland and no doubt we had the advantage of visiting off season, so I imagine mid summer things might be different.

My friend and I went on a belated birthday girls trip for the weekend. The room was extremely spacious. The beds were very comfortable and smelled fresh. Our room had a small kitchette with a full size stove/oven, full size fridge and microwave. The room was a little dated but very clean. I feel like this would be a perfect spot for a family vacation since you could easily cook up a few meals right in your room. I would recommend Grand Beach Inn.

This is a cabin right next to the motel. My main interest was the kitchenette, but I came to love the feeling of seclusion and the hominess. The one day it rained I snuggled on the couch and listened to music. Beach is right across the street and I managed to get up early and watch the sun rise. Wonderful stay, attentive staff.

Pros: -Hotel was clean and great location. We only stayed one night so didn’t get to explore or experience it too much. -Staff was very friendly at check in. - Room was big and comfortable. -Located right across the beach for quick access. Cons: - we paid extra for a balcony room which in our opinion was not worth it. Basically every room has a balcony anyway. And the balcony rooms all face into each other. Did not have an ocean view. - there is SO much light that comes through the windows at night. The rooms only have blinds and no curtains. Even at 2 am it feels like you have every light on in the room but it’s the lights they have on outside. Made for a very sleepless night for our entire family who is used to sleeping in the dark. - the pool was closed for the season when we got there to check in. A little disappointing that this is not something said at booking, since it is advertised as having a heated pool. - Beds were also very noisy and creeked at the slightest movement.

Beach vibes restaurant on site, whose staff was super nice. We brought our dog and they gave him a piece of bacon. Our room was decent, clean, and would stay there again!

Did not get the room I was expecting no balcony to sit on . Pool was very small . Beach is not very accessible , boardwalk was far . Room was right beside the stairs and was very very noisy even very early in the morning

We liked the location. The TV didn't work. I couldn't make the temp in the room so it was comfortable. It was either too hot or too cold. I chose to let it stay too hot because we had a baby with us. But that meant mht husband and i could not sleep. Rubber were a group of men outside in front of our room at 12:30AM. They were fooling around locking and unlocking their car door so it would beep.i certainly don't blame the facility for that. It was just aggravating.
