The first room we we given smelled like cat pee. We told the front desk and they do move us to another room. However that room also smelled bad (not as bad) and was pretty run down (broken tiles in the shower, carpet not great etc.

The hotel was beautiful but you would expect a little more for the money. The rooms are very clean and comfortable but small. Parking is impossible. Or valet parking is almost as expensive as the room itself. Driving in Portland is like trying to find the toilet in the dark. It’s a mess. Over all the hotel is very nice and has dining on the property. I would stay again but take a helicopter instead of drive.

Check in was quick and efficient, but we did not receive any information about the property. The valets were friendly and helpful, quickly parking or retrieving our vehicle each day. Couldn’t get the elevator to work; we weren’t told to use our room key for access. Bathroom fan and second light didn’t work. On of the lights in the room also wouldn’t turn on. Front desk simply said they would let someone know. We chose this hotel due to the location and dining/room service availability. Tried to go to the adjoining restaurant at 930pm, we were turned away (signs and website said they closed at 10). The next day we returned to the hotel after being out all day and tried to order dinner, the website said restaurant closed. When we went back downstairs to the restaurant there was a sign saying they were closed for an event and to ‘come back later.’ Overall there were several disappointments during our stay. We will likely choose somewhere else next time we’re in town.

We had a 2-queen room and the bathroom was horrible! The lighting in the bathroom was terrible. The bathtub needed to be replaced or resurfaced due to the cracks. My daughter was afraid to take the elevator because it was shaking when you rode it either up or down. The valet parking was overpriced at $52 per night. We will not return.

The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the TV channels selection was very good, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to everything, a few blocks away from the River Walk, surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants and public transportation!
