We had a wonderful stay at Pestana Praia Alvor. Everything was great and we really enjoyed our time there. The location, facilities, and service were excellent, and the breakfast was truly outstanding with a fantastic selection. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location, well maintained property with very helpful staff. Perfect spot if you decide to visit Algarve. It’s right by the city of Alvor and close to Lagos and Pontemiade. Beach is lovely, right by the rock formations.

Beautiful resort. Rooms a little older but bathrooms and decor are modern. The pool area and views are incredible and the elevator to the beach is a real plus. Quick drive or Uber to old town of Alvor with incredible restaurants. The real plus was the level of customer service from the front of the house staff. They are knowledgeable, offer great recommendations and so helpful. Would highly recommend staying here when in the Algarve.

Fabulous room overlooking the pool,beach and sea. Magical to wake up to the sounds of waves lapping against the shore. Staff are exceptional especially Joana & Irina in the hotel bar, both are real superstars!! Breakfast buffet style with everything you could wish for. Onsite Spa fantastic too we will be re-booking as many other guests do

This hotel is situated on an absolutely gorgeous beach. Lots of areas to explore right at your fingertips. Breakfast was excellent and service friendly. The only issue was AC. You have no control over it, and it shuts off whenever there is no movement in the room (ie. whenever you leave during the day or are asleep at night). During a heat wave this made sleeping very uncomfortable.

Lovely hotel overlooking the beach. Staff were very welcoming. Very pleasant walk into Alvor along boardwalk. We were given an upgrade to our room which was a nice surprise. Breakfast had a great selection on offer. We preferred to eat in bar as opposed to the buffet in the main restaurant. Very enjoyable stay overall.

Stayed for 12 nights very enjoyable staff very friendly . Fantastic sea view lovely relaxed breakfasts,shout out for Luana who was always smiling and happy to help at breakfast. Coming here 25 yrs and would definately come back. Reception on arrival was first class even though a young lady was training they were very attentive and helpful.. Thankyou.

It’s a beautiful property with amazing access to the beach, but the rooms are old. It needs refurbishment, and it needs a lot of love. (to be honest it is not a five star room to any standards.) however the staff is amazing. Amazing breakfast the most beautiful view you can imagine and private access to the beach. Makes it a fantastic place to stay if you’re looking for a four star hotel

The air conditioning in most of the rooms doesn't work effectively. Even on the highest setting, the airflow is very low, and rooms have sensors that turn the ac off if you're not in the room. The 5 days we were there, the room was hot and uncomfortable the whole time, affecting our sleep. The rest of the hotel is fairly nice, a bit dated, but people should be aware of the ac issues.
