• Lake access requires using a steep, uneven path with stairs, loose terrain, and elevation changes.
• The path may become slippery due to weather, sand, or moisture.
• The property may not be suitable for young children, elderly guests, or anyone with mobility limitations.
• Guests use the lake path entirely at their own risk.

Additionally, Lake Michigan can present serious water hazards even during calm-looking conditions, including:
• Strong currents and rip currents
• Sudden drop-offs
• Large waves and rapidly changing conditions
• Cold water temperatures year-round

There are no lifeguards on duty, and all water activities are done entirely at guests’ own risk. Children should be supervised at all times near both the bluff and shoreline. Life jackets are strongly encouraged for any water activities, and guests should avoid entering the water during rough conditions.

Hot Tub Safety
• Use of the hot tub is entirely at guests’ own risk.
• Children must be supervised at all times.
• Surfaces around the hot tub may become slippery.
• Guests should avoid excessive alcohol consumption while using the hot tub.
• Guests with medical conditions, heart conditions, or heat sensitivities should consult a physician before use.
• No diving, roughhousing, or unsafe behavior permitted.

By booking and staying at the property, guests acknowledge and accept all risks associated with use of the property, including but not limited to the bluff, lake access path, shoreline, water activities, fire pit, hot tub, stairs, decks, and outdoor areas. Guests assume full responsibility and liability for themselves and all members of their party during their stay.

Because the home is set in a natural environment with mature trees, outdoor paths, changing weather, and steep, wooded hillside terrain leading to Lake Michigan, guest safety is the top priority.

Guest Expectations

Exercise good judgment and responsibility when using the outdoor areas.

Note: These guidelines are meant to ensure everyone stays safe, not to restrict your enjoyment of the outdoor spaces.

Guest Access
Guests will have access to all primary living spaces throughout the home, including:
Main Level
• Living room and gathering spaces
• Full kitchen and dining areas
• Master bedroom and bathroom
• Upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms
• Outdoor decks and seating areas. Children should not be allowed on deck without adult supervision due to hot tub accessibility.
Lower Level
• Guest bedroom areas
• Lower level bathroom
• Recreation/lounge space
• Lower-level kitchenette and gathering area
The split-level layout allows larger groups and families to comfortably spread out while still enjoying shared spaces together.

Pets may be allowed

If pets are allowed:

• Prior approval required

• Pets may not be left unattended

• Pets are prohibited in hot tub and on furniture

• Guests must clean up all pet waste immediately

Unauthorized pets may result in additional charges.

Areas to Avoid
For safety and operational purposes, the following areas are not accessible to guests:
• Utility/mechanical room containing the furnace, sump pump, and electrical panels
• Locked storage via recreation room immediately to the left at the bottom of the lower-level stairs
• Garage area, which is currently used for property supplies and storage. If garage space is needed please contact management.
• Underneath the deck
• Septic mound area located on southwest area of yard.
• Attic/Roof
Please do not attempt to access locked areas or tamper with utility equipment. Please notify management if any areas are found to be unlocked.

Outdoor Areas & Wooded Hillside Terrain
Guests are welcome and encouraged to enjoy the outdoor spaces, lake views, fire pit, hot tub, and surrounding natural environment during their stay.
Please note:
• The property includes steep wooded hillside terrain, uneven ground, exposed roots, loose soil, outdoor stairs, and natural landscape features.
• Mature trees are located throughout the property and surrounding wooded areas. Falling limbs or trees may occur during wind, storms, or changing weather conditions.
• Trails and hillside areas leading toward the lake may become slippery or unstable depending on weather conditions.
• Guests should use extreme caution when walking near wooded hillside areas or lake access paths.
• These outdoor areas may not be suitable for guests with mobility limitations, balance concerns, certain medical conditions, or accessibility needs.
• Children must be supervised at all times while outdoors.
Guests use all outdoor areas entirely at their own risk and accept all liability.

Property Boundaries
East: Extends toward the Lake Michigan shoreline.

West: Avoid unmaintained tall grass and the septic mound area.

North & South: Both boundaries end at their respective tree lines. Do not trespass on the private property north of the street, or the yard/wooded areas to the south.

Lake Access & Water Safety
Access: The path to the lake is steep, wooded, and uneven. Use extreme caution.

Hazards: Lake Michigan has no lifeguards and features rapid weather changes, strong/rip currents, sudden drop-offs, cold water, and slippery shores.

Rules: All water activities are at your own risk. Life jackets are strongly encouraged, and children must be supervised at all times.

Hot Tub & Deck Safety
Hot Tub: Use at your own risk (no lifeguard). Limit use to 15–20 minutes. Pregnant individuals or those with medical conditions should consult a doctor first. Children require adult supervision. No running, diving, or roughhousing.

Decks & Stairs: Can become slippery in wet or cold weather. Children must be supervised on the deck.

Construction Notice
Road and infrastructure work is happening 0.5–1 mile away.

Navigation: If arriving via HWY LL, disregard "Local Traffic Only" signs (you qualify as local traffic). Turn right onto Lake Dr. at the Memories Ballroom intersection.

Impact: No construction is happening on-site, but you may experience minor traffic delays, construction vehicles, or daytime road noise when traveling.
