Sea Breeze—Gulf Views · Across from Beachfront Pool · 40 Steps to Beach

Sea Breeze occupies one of the most enviable positions in Barrier Dunes — 40 steps from the beach, directly across from the gulf-front community pool, with a freshwater pond shimmering off the back deck and Gulf views from both upstairs bedroom balconies. Front-and-back water views in a thoughtfully furnished, open-concept home that sleeps six comfortably, with every bedroom its own private suite. This is Cape San Blas the way it's meant to be experienced: unhurried, beautiful, and right in the middle of everything.

The name says it all — there's almost always a breeze at Sea Breeze, whether it's drifting off the pond on a quiet morning or coming in warm off the Gulf in the late afternoon. Days here have a satisfying simplicity to them. Coffee on the main deck while the pond does its peaceful thing, the grill fired up for breakfast, then a short 40-step stroll to the beach with everything loaded from the stocked closet. When the group wants a break from the waves, the beachfront pool is literally across the street. Come evening, the back deck becomes the best seat in the house — Polywood dining table, gas grill, the pond catching the fading light — before everyone retreats to their own private Gulf-view balcony upstairs. Sea Breeze is the kind of home where you stop counting the days and start losing track of them entirely.

The main level is open and generously proportioned — stylish, fully equipped kitchen with stainless appliances flowing into a bright dining area and comfortable living room with queen sleeper sofa and Smart TV, all opening directly onto the large back deck with its Polywood gas grill dining setup and freshwater pond view. A convenient half bath and dedicated beach gear storage area at the top of the stairs round out the main floor.

The condo has nice furnishings and comfortable beds. There is a small view of the ocean from the top master bedroom deck. We loved that it was a short walk to the beach and that a beach cart and chairs and umbrellas were provided. The pools were not warm enough to swim in but we spent most of our time on the beach.

This rental fit the bill perfectly for us. The location is ideal with very close beach access and a beautiful view just past the pool area. Prior to our stay, the host responded to our questions quickly and pleasantly. The home was fresh, clean, and well-equipped (including plenty of kitchen gadgets/utensils, bakeware, outdoor seating and eating area, grill, beach gear, some baby gear, and doggy towels) ;- ) The furnishings were very comfortable, and appliances worked well. Barrier Dunes area has a nice community feel and is full of happy people, including quite a flock of snowbirds; many with happy dogs! We will come back in the future.

The master bedroom had NO storage for clothing, one small dresser and a closet, the bathrooms were tiny as well, the proximity to the beach was great but other than that, the condo was not, the kitchen was not well stocked if you actually want to cook there was no storage anywhere, the kitchen cabinets were "stocked" with a bunch of useless things.

We enjoyed our time there, as usual, we go to the Cape about once per year, love the beach. The accommodation was great, as expected, no disturbances, very calm. Well worth the time and money, great value

Pet toilet on a nice beach

My wife and I have 5 kids and this was the 3rd time in 6 years we had a chance to go out of town by ourselves. The trip also had the dual purpose of looking for a beach house to purchase. All days of our trip were spent in Cape San Blas. We’ve travelled a lot, both personally and professionally, and have rated this unit based off what it is; which is a unit in an older complex located beach side. The “somewhat” good: The unit itself was “ok”. The unit does provide beach chairs and a cart. The beach is an easy walk. The complex is located in a beautiful part of Cape San Blas and getting to the beach is easy. The bad: This entire unit had a heavy smell of urine. The carpets were sticky and I’m guessing it was from dog Pee that has accumulated over time. The carpets clearly had not been recently cleaned and, if they had been cleaned, they certainly needed to be treated for urine and RE-cleaned. My wife and I have owned multiple properties, including rentals, and the smell reminded us of some run down rental house where the occupants kept dogs and just let them Pee inside all the time. We actually believe that the urine may have even gotten into the sub flooring of this unit. To say it was nauseating would be correct. Because it was a 7 hour trip for us and we got in late, we had no choice but to stay there the first night. That next morning, we opened 2 dots to let air circulate in hopes that it would help with the smell but it didn’t. We also noticed that the carpets were sticky and we feel very confident in saying it was from urine. The carpets also had staining indicating the same thing. To say this unit was disgusting is an understatement. This unit needs to have all carpets pulled up, sub flooring treated for urine and new carpet or tile put down. After the first night, my wife and I left the unit and found another place to stay for the next couple of nights. The property owners were contacted and the male half called me up and essentially stated I was lying and that they had just stayed there the night before and there was nothing wrong. He said I must have a “sensitive nose”…lol. It’s exactly the mentality of someone who demonstrates poor customer service and someone we’d never rent from again. There’s too many other options to walk around in animal urine and I’d avoid this particular unit.
