I stayed five days in January, enjoy a slower pace in the off season. The Brix is beautifully and centrally located. Bring binoculars for exotic bird watching. Five minutes walk to the Savannah and fairly walkable distance to art, entertainment, food and culture. I must attend an event at the Queens Hall, across the street, next time! —I want to join the party.

I really enjoyed my stay… my only complaint is the view from room 205 was horrible!! It was an alleyway filled with wires, dirt, and some type of unit!! I was going to complain when we first saw it but we were too tired!

This hotel has a lot going for it: very clean, seamless self-parking, and spacious, well-maintained rooms. However, a major flaw affected our entire week-long stay. We booked a package for two guests for seven nights, yet the "complimentary breakfast" was only provided for one person. Having to pay extra $30 USD daily for my partner's breakfast after such a substantial booking felt unreasonable and frankly, cheap. We've never experienced this before. The bones of a great hotel are here, but this policy makes it poor value for couples.

The people working there is pretty rude always have an attitude. The rooms do not come with a microwave. You have to go down to the lobby. Or call and request a microwave but they lied each day they would bring one.. There were major flying cockroaches next to the pool by the TV area. The coffee is less coffee and more sugar, and coffee flavoring.. the room smell damp with a mild mildew odor.. my room was next to the elevator so I had to continue to hear the elevator noise it make when it settles on your floor. Parking is refocus you have to plead with security that your staying with them for them to grant you access to park. Worst stay I will not return.

I really enjoyed my short stay at the hotel. The hotel is centrally located, so it was easy to walk to many of the city’s main attractions. The hotel staff were also friendly, efficient and very helpful. I honestly did not want to check out. I will make sure to stay there again if I am ever back in Trinidad.
