Egret Escape – Sleeps 14, Fully Fenced Back Yard, Play Set, Walk to Beach

Welcome to Egret Escape — it`s always a great day to be at the beach!

Egret Escape is a bright, comfortable 4-bedroom, 2-bath home that sleeps 14, in town in Crystal Beach, Texas, on a quiet cul-de-sac with only a few houses. It sits on the same street as our Beach Bum property and shares its floor plan, which makes the two an easy pairing for families or groups booking more than one home.

Inside, two king bedrooms sit on one side of the home — one opening onto the bathroom and the front deck — and two bunk rooms sit on the other, one with a queen-over-queen bunk and one with a full-over-full bunk plus a daybed and trundle. The bedrooms have room-darkening shades. Both full baths have a sink, toilet and shower, and one adds a tub and shower combination. The stackable washer and dryer sit near the bunk rooms.

The living room opens straight into the kitchen and dining area, with a couch, love seat, two chairs and a Roku TV. The kitchen has a pantry, full-size refrigerator, range and oven with microwave above, dishwasher, cookware, dishes and utensils, and both a drip coffee maker and a single-cup pod coffee maker that uses standard K-Cup pods. The island seats ten and the dining table seats four. Wi-Fi is fast enough for streaming.

Outside, the covered back deck overlooks a fully fenced back yard with a custom play set — two swings, a slide and a fort. Gates at the yard and at the top of the stairs keep kids and dogs where you want them. Under the house is a shaded gathering area with a charcoal grill, a food prep counter, a raised bar seating six, two tables with chairs, and an enclosed shower with hot and cold water for rinsing off the sand. The front deck is uncovered and opens off one of the king bedrooms. The ground floor, stairs and decks are lit for safe access at night, and grilling is on the ground level only.

Parking is on the driveway and under the home — three vehicles on the drive and two below, or a trailer and three vehicles — with extra event parking at Gregory Park across Barbados Street. As with all elevated coastal homes, there may be slight movement during strong winds, which is normal for houses built on pilings.

Barbados Street is steps away, the beach walkover is a short walk down it, and the golf cart beach entrance is a little farther on. A small strip mall across Highway 87 has Drinks and Spirits, Family Dollar, Tia Juanita`s, a beauty spa and Sherwin Williams, and a short drive reaches The Big Store and the Crystal Beach restaurants. The free Bolivar Ferry to Galveston Island is a short drive away.

General
Guest booking must be 25+ and staying for the entire reservation

Maximum occupancy: 14 guests

No parties, events, or large gatherings

No smoking or vaping inside the home — any evidence of smoking or vaping inside results in a $300 fee

Any disruptive or unsafe behavior will result in immediate removal from the property

Pets
Adult pets are welcome with prior approval - no pets under a year, and pets must be house-broken. Dogs of any size are welcome. Maximum 4 adult pets.

The pet fee is $100 per stay for up to 2 pets, plus $50 per pet for up to 2 more. Undisclosed pets will result in additional fees.

The back yard is fenced on all sides with a latching gate, so your dog can go out the door and into the yard.

No pets on furniture or beds - please bring your own sheets or blankets to cover anything your pet will be on.

Pick up all pet waste in the yard, and keep pets supervised.

Additional cleaning for pets or excessive trash is $150.

Trained service animals as defined by the ADA are exempt from the pet fee; emotional support, comfort, and therapy animals are treated the same as pets.

Children must be supervised on decks, stairs, and in the fully fenced back yard

KITCHEN: For health reasons, no food, condiments, spices, or cooking oil are provided. We provide starter coffee, hand soap, bar soap, toilet paper and paper towels. There is also laundry detergent for 2 loads, 2 dryer sheets, and dishwasher soap for 2 loads. For a longer stay, plan on bringing extra paper towels, toilet paper and trash bags.
