There were many good things about this rental. It was spacious, very clean, had a usable and well stocked kitchen, and a great library of DVDs. The yard, gas grill, and arbor are lovely.
It’s important to note that it is NOT where the vrbo map shows it. It’s on a section of road about 1.5 miles south of town, up the hill, close as the crow flies and about 2 mi by road from the Olympic National Park visitor center and the road to Hurricane Ridge. It’s a good location, but you do need to drive or bike everywhere — it’s not the walkable, near-downtown location we thought it would be.
Check-in took a little prompting but the manager did get the information to us in time. It was unclear whether there was an issue with the stove/oven, but it worked fine for us.
I recommend the managers consider providing some fans for managing ventilation on hot days, installing screens (or providing information in the book stating it’s ok to open windows without them), and upgrade their bed sheets (cheap polyester). Overall, though, it was a good stay.
