From my uncle to my grandchild: My sister Eleonora and I inherited this beautiful country home, which is full of special details that make it inviting and filled with objects “found” throughout the history of this small farming community. The house is located on a quiet street outside of town. It’s in a strategic location for those who love country life and its sounds—amidst nature, greenery, and peaceful rhythms, yet want to quickly reach the cities of Tuscany in just five minutes—you’ll reach the entrance to the A11 highway (Capannori exit) and from there, Florence (51.2 km), Pisa (26.1 km), and Lucca (10 km). Your stay in the house will certainly be pleasant; there are three large bedrooms, a 40 m² living room with a fireplace, a 30 m² dining room, a kitchen with a fireplace, an enclosed porch with a washing machine and sink, and a bathroom. The garden is very large, and from the large veranda you can enjoy the panoramic view and the hills where the most beautiful villages of the Compitese region are situated. The back garden is paved with stone and features a lemon grove, a vegetable garden, and a small chicken coop. The house is located in Padule, a 3.4-kilometer-long stretch where the ancient Lake of Sesto once lay and where archaeological finds from the time of the first Romanesque farmsteads are still preserved today. A few kilometers away lies the main town of Porcari, a lively center where you’ll find all the amenities you need, as well as small shops specializing in exquisite local products.

Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cottage, which features a fireplace. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.
