Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Our stay was very disappointing. When we arrived, we were told there was an issue with our reservation, even though the reservation was still showing as active. The original entry code did not work, and we had to make several calls before receiving a working code. The exterior of the property was poorly maintained. Overgrown bushes obstructed the walkway, and there were various items and equipment around the entrance. The first door was partially open and had a broken handle. Inside, the property did not appear to have been properly prepared for guests. There was a strong odor, significant dust, dirty towels, linens that appeared to have been used, unclean bathrooms, dead insects, and an uncovered trash container containing old garbage. Several areas required cleaning and maintenance. We contacted vrbo about the reservation issue, access problem, and condition of the property. The situation was not resolved and caused us to move to a new area far away which changed our itinerary and the entire purpose of stay. We expect a vacation rental to be clean, properly maintained, and ready for guests upon arrival. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with this property. We would not choose to stay here again.
