When we first entered our room, it was swarming with mosquitoes. Unless there was a hole in the room somewhere I imagine the only other explanation would be that the doors were left open in the cleaning progress before we arrived. We stayed with friends who also had the same experience and have children covered in mosquito bites from their sleep (covered up when outside as we could see that it was mozzie weather). I didn’t get much sleep either as I was hearing the mozzies swarming around and biting my face as I attempted to keep the rest of my body undercover. Other than that the rooms and facilities were great.

The staff at check in were polite and friendly room was very clean. Bed was not quite up there, found it a bit uncomfortable. Loved the grounds, pool and layout of rooms. Very quiet location. Not impressed with having a photo of my driver's licence taken.

The cleanliness and comfort of the room; the helpfulness of the staff, and the location of the hotel. The only two matters which may be of concern to some customers are that the quality of the rooms can be variable as each one is separately owned, and not all of them are serviced daily.

We recently stayed in Pokolbin and loved the location—it’s close to wineries, restaurants, and local attractions, making it a really convenient base for exploring the area. There’s also plenty of parking available, which made coming and going very easy. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The downside is that the rooms and the general property are quite dated and feel a bit tired. With some upgrades, this place could really shine. Overall, it’s a good stay for the location and service, but the accommodation would benefit from a refresh.
