Loustic - Charmant gîte en baie de Douarnenez

We are offering this charming 55 m² holiday cottage for rent in the village of Plomodiern. It is semi-detached from the owners’ home, situated 2 km from the sea and can accommodate up to 4 guests. It comprises a lovely 20 m² living room, a fully fitted open-plan kitchen, two beautiful bedrooms, a shower room, and a garden of around 40 m².
This holiday cottage has Wi-Fi. Don’t hesitate to book this charming retreat!

The single-storey holiday let is laid out as follows:
- A 20 m² living room with a TV, sofa, working fireplace and dining area.
- A fully equipped open-plan kitchen, including: an electric kettle, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, hob and filter coffee machine...
- A utility room with a washing machine.
- Bedroom 1: a queen-size bed (160×200) and a wardrobe.
- Bedroom 2: two single beds and a wardrobe.
- A bathroom with shower, hairdryer and heated towel rail.
- Separate toilet.

Outside:
– A lovely, south-facing, unfenced garden of 40 m². The gîte is equipped with a barbecue, two sun loungers, a parasol and a table with benches.

For even greater comfort, the owners can provide the following baby equipment free of charge: high chair, travel cot with fitted sheet, changing mat, potty and baby bath.

The Loustic gîte is adjoining another property and situated in a pleasant courtyard shared with the owners, who are discreet but available if needed. The atmosphere is family-friendly and perfect for relaxation, in a very pleasant setting.
The road opposite the garden is very quiet as it is a cul-de-sac: it is used only by the owners and a few walkers. You’ll find all the essential shops nearby, as well as boutiques, restaurants, bars and a market…

Activities:
Plomodiern is a village nestled on Douarnenez Bay at the entrance to the Crozon Peninsula. You’ll have the chance to enjoy a wide range of activities, both on land and at sea. Let yourself be swept away by the Celtic atmosphere and set off to explore Locronan, a village full of character, or Quimper – two beautiful towns offering enriching cultural experiences! You’ll be charmed by the lush greenery on one side and the fine sandy beaches on the other, such as Kervijen, Porz Ar Vag and Lestrevet; Kervel and Sainte-Anne-la-Palud are around 10 kilometres away and offer you the chance to try your hand at a range of water sports: surfing, sand yachting, boating, kitesurfing…
- Tourist attractions: The picturesque village of Locronan is 15 minutes away (explore the village with its many art galleries, church, small shops and crêperies). The charming town of Douarnenez is 20 minutes away (explore the canneries, the harbour, the town centre and the coastal paths). The superb Crozon peninsula is 25 minutes away, featuring Telgruc-sur-Mer, Morgat, Crozon and Camaret-sur-Mer… (the chance to tackle the GR34 trail, the headlands and the lovely beaches!)
- Events: Menez Hom Festival in Plomodiern; Bout du Monde Festival in Crozon; Cornouailles Festival in Quimper; International Maritime Festival in Brest; Maritime Festival in Douarnenez…

Transport:
If you choose to come by car, you can park directly in the gîte’s outdoor car park (space for 2 vehicles).

As for other modes of transport, here is some information that you may find useful:
- Nearest railway station: Quimper station, approximately 35 minutes’ drive away.
- Nearest airport: Brest Airport, approximately 50 minutes’ drive away.

Other notes:
- The fireplace is in working order. Firewood is provided.
- Free Wi-Fi is available.
- Pets are allowed in the gîte provided they are used to living indoors. A special clean-up related to their presence will need to be carried out before departure
- End-of-stay cleaning includes preparing the accommodation for future guests. Please leave it in a reasonably clean condition and clean any kitchen appliances after use.
- Bed linen and towels are not included but can be provided on request at an additional cost (to be arranged and paid for with our on-site partner): €15 per person, including bed linen and towels.
- Tea towels and bath mats are provided.

The gîte is situated in a quiet rural area close to Plomodiern which is perfect to discover the Crozon Peninsula and the Bay of Douarnenez. The interior looks a bit old (except the bathroom) at first but everything was well maintained and very clean. We felt comfortable and would have liked to stay longer. PS. I had a good laugh at the low tech (but quite efficient) ""ventilation"" inside the WC. 🙁 For 3 people the place was spacious enough but it would be too small for me with 4 people."

Loustic "Havre de paix au cœur de la baie de Douarnenez 🙂 Le gîte lumineux et bien équipé est parfait pour résider au calme tout en étant à proximité des plages (5/7 min en voiture), au cœur de la baie de Douarnenez. Il est facile de rayonner dans la région pour découvrir ses nombreux points d’intérêt. L’espace extérieur est très agréable. Les chambres suffisamment grandes pour s’y sentir bien. Les propriétaires sont charmants et nous ont réservé des petites attentions sympathiques. Le village de Plomodiern offre des commodités pratiques (poissonnerie, supermarché, station service,…) Nous reviendrons !"

Weit und breit ist NICHTS außer Felder u Weiden und 3 Wohnhäusern (inkl. d Unterkunft). Bedingt dadurch bitte an Fliegenklatsche/Fliegengitter denken. Seeeeehr hundefreundlich und für deren Besitzer ein optimales "" Plätzchen"". Die Inhaber sind freundlich und kümmerten sich. In 4km Entfernung gibt es 2 atemberaubende Strände! Dort hat es jeweils 1 schönes Restaurant. Plomodiern selbst ist klein und mit einem Supermarché ausgestattet. Leider ist ansonsten nichts los und in der nahen Umgebung ebenso nichts. Alles in Allem konnten wir uns erholen, ""runterkommen"" und vor Allem ausschlafen. Es wurde allerdings Abends noch kalt. Definitiv ist ein Ausflug nach Concarneau (50km) empfehlenswert und eine schöne Abwechslung."

très beau site

très bel endroit. Propriétaires très accueillant, gentils, agréable. Logement très agréable. Situé à la campagne mais très bien pour randonnées et pour le calme. Très agréable de trouver un logement pouvant accueillir des chiens de plus de 10 kg et acceptant plusieurs. Je recommande et je retournerai chez ses propriétaires très gentils

Propriétaire très sympathiques et très belle région

Nous avons apprécié plus particulièrement l'accueil des propriétaires, qui étaient extrêmement sympathiques et avaient d'excellents conseils. La région est magnifique et nous y reviendrons très certainement et si possible au Loustic. Pascal

Loustic "Eine große Enttäuschung und viel zu teuer 🙂 Das Bad, die Sitzecke, schlafen konnte man hervorragend total still. 🙁 Gut dargestellte Bilder auf Plattform. Küche alt, das Besteck, Geschirr alt, das ganze Haus muffig. Die angebotene Waschmaschine ist defekt und das schon länger. Die Bettwäsche und 1Handtuch für 15 Euro ist frech. Auch diese ist alt und riecht muffig. Eine Hecke die zur Haustüre führt wuchert fast die Haustüre zu. Die Besitzer haben es nicht für nötig befunden zu informieren, dass auf der Rückseite eine riesige Baustelle ist auf der gearbeitet wird. Wer dieses Haus mieten will darf den Angaben nicht glauben. Im Haus war es staubig und alles hat unsauber gewirkt. Ich vermiete selbst und weiß was Sauberkeit ist. Wir haben uns so auf dieses Haus gefreut, waren nur froh endlich abreisen zu können"
