Staff lack of consideration

We reserved multiple rooms months in advance for a family event, but unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Despite our early planning, our family was spread out across the property, with some rooms tucked away facing the parking lot. When we brought this up to the front desk, the staff was indifferent and simply stated that the hotel was sold out and there was nothing they could do. To make matters worse, there was a sewer issue during our stay, and the smell spread into the courtyard — a serious health concern that was not addressed properly. Overall, the property has potential, but the customer service and lack of responsiveness to a sanitation issue left a lot to be desired.

Let me first start by saying that ive stayed almost 500 nights over 5 years at Marriott hotels for work, I’ve had good and bad experiences but this one was just a cascade of issues. The first night my partner and went to the pool where we couldn’t find any towels, we went to the front desk to ask for one and they directed us back to the pool. We had to go back to the front desk to verify there were no towels and they finally gave us some. Not the worst thing to have happened but it shows a lack of customer service that I would normally expect from Marriott. The person before us in line was also offered snacks, the offer was not extended to us despite being Gold elite, kind of an awkward situation when there is no consistency between guests especially when it’s done in front of other guests. While we were at the front desk we also asked about the bar which was advertised on our key cards, the front door of the building, and on the advert for the hotel. We were told that there is no alcohol on the premises. (We were later told that the bar had been closed for around 4 years). Back at the room we discovered that the shower did not drain and that the fan does not actually vent any of the moisture from the bathroom. I messaged the front desk to notify them so that we could figure something out in the morning but the staff decided that sending someone at 9pm to try and fix the issue was the best first choice. Again, not that big of an issue but at this point I was getting fr

Disappointing Stay

I’ve stayed at 4 Point by Sheraton about a dozen times and always found it to be a great place to stay. It’s always clean and comfortable and my go to place when I’m in the area. NOT THIS TIME. There was NO coffee in the room, only tea. The full length mirror was falling off the wall. There was a long black hair on the shower wall. Finally there were brown spots on the shower curtain there I don’t want to even guess what they were. I was going to book a room for 3 weeks from now but I have to seriously rethink this.
