(Historic Mansion)This is a very large three bedroom apartment. with all the luxuries of it's time, high ceilings, hardwood floors, large rooms with Victorian crown moldings. This historic home has been divided in to six large apartments. I'm hosting one of the three bedroom apartments as a vacation rental. The house is located in the, VAN WYCK Historic District Of Plainfield. Surrounded by historic mansion, you will never see one alike, each one is different in style. While visiting, please feel free to go on a walking , or driving tour of our five historic districts of the city, aka (THE QUEEN CITY)
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned apartment, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private balcony. Mansion fun

Who wouldn't want to get to see inside a big gorgeous house in an extraordinary neighborhood, let alone get to spend the night in one? This is a very special place to stay. It is very comfortable and safe with parking in a private lot.

Clean but we had issues checking in

The place was clean and no complaints other than the check in process. The instructions said to go to the lockbox but there was no code to open the box in the instructions. We called the number provided several times but no one answered. We eventually just went to the room and the door wasn't locked so we went in.

Very Dirty - Zero response from host

Property was not kept up well. As soon as we arrived there were many flies and bugs in the entry way. Main doors left open. Confused on the many keys provided to access our room. The common areas like the living room, kitchen, and hallways were all open to the outdoor climate. Only the individual rooms had window units to cool down. The smell was not pleasant. The sheets, pillowcases, and bedding had fluid stains on them. One of the rooms smelled like cannabis. We immediately left and booked a hotel room nearby. I did not want my family staying here. I reached out to the host and notified her that we left the property. I did not mind being charged for that one night stay since but asked to be refunded the next night. It’s been 3 days at time of this post and have not received a single reply. This property was rated high (8.8) but very deceiving.
