The space
Spacious and bright, this beautifully restored and updated apartment includes a combination sleeping/living room area, an eat-in kitchen and a newly renovated, full bathroom. As you enter the foyer of the building, a locked door immediately to the right opens to a stairway that descends to the entrance of the Garden View apartment. The first room you enter is the eat-in kitchen where the cabinets are oak, the counters are mottled tan and the floor is faux granite laminate. A large window makes the space bright although the window has 2” white wood blinds for privacy. The kitchen also has a refrigerator, an apartment-sized gas oven and stove-top and a double-sided sink. The kitchen drawers and cupboards contain kitchen towels, hot pads and pots & pans as well as dishes, glassware and flatware which are for your use. Small appliances like a coffee pot, a hot air popcorn popper and a toaster, etc. are either on the counters or in the cupboards. We have included a small supply of items like dish soap and cleaning supplies, etc. for your convenience. We will not replace these as they are used up but we wanted you to at least be able to enjoy staying a few days without needing to purchase these basic supplies. In addition, we have filled the canisters with some popcorn, flour, sugar and coffee. Beyond the kitchen is the combination sleeping/living room area which features a striking black full-size bed with a comfortable ‘Orthopedic Pillow Top’ mattress and box springs and storage drawers underneath. It’s been covered in a lovely red and white paisley coverlet and has a beautiful original oil painting by a local artist hanging above it. The bed is flanked by two metal side tables with mirrored surfaces that are topped by pretty table lamps. You’ll also find a closet for storage and hanging clothes as well as a dresser. There are two comfy chairs with tables and lamps next to them where you can relax and read. The big front window and the smaller side windows let in lots of light and can all be opened for ventilation. To the right of the bed is your private, full bathroom. The bathroom has a faux granite laminate floor, a tub with a shower, a toilet and a sink set into a vanity. The vanity has storage underneath it as well as a large round mirror above. A hairdryer and additional towels are stored on the shelves within the bathroom. Four sets of towels have been provided for your use. Plus, just outside the apartment is a large laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer as well as an iron, an ironing board and a vacuum cleaner. These are all available for your use and at your convenience.
Guest access
Guests can access the front foyer, where the mailboxes and router are located. USPS has a code allowing them to enter the foyer. Each apartment is completely separate and private.
