Summary:
Nexus is a modern desert retreat in Pioneertown, designed for those who appreciate beautiful spaces and wide-open landscapes. Spend your days exploring nearby Black Rock Canyon, cooling off in the cowboy tub, or relaxing on the shaded patio with mountain views. As evening arrives, settle into the private hot tub or gather around the fire pit. With thoughtful architecture and an easy connection to the outdoors, this two-bedroom home invites you to slow down.
The Space:
At Nexus, the architecture lets the desert take center stage. Crisp white walls, polished concrete floors, pale oak cabinetry, and expansive glass doors create a clean, understated interior where natural light and the surrounding landscape provide much of the character. The house feels open and connected to its surroundings, yet thoughtfully arranged with comfortable places to retreat, whether you're sharing a meal, settling in with a book, or simply watching the light move across the mountains.
The outdoor spaces are just as intentional as the interiors, with covered lounging areas, places to gather, and open views that encourage you to spend as much time outside as in. It's an inviting home base for two couples, a small group of friends, or anyone looking to balance days of adventure with the pleasure of doing very little.

-Outdoor Amenities-
The outdoor experience at Nexus unfolds across a series of thoughtfully designed spaces, each offering a different way to enjoy the Pioneertown landscape. The long covered patio provides generous shade, with a dining area for leisurely meals and a separate lounge featuring a built-in sofa overlooking the desert. Native vegetation, sculptural cacti, and natural stone landscaping give the grounds an organic feel against the home's clean architectural lines.
On warmer days, the cowboy tub offers a refreshing place to cool off after exploring the trails. An outdoor shower makes rinsing off easy, while the private hot tub sits farther out in the landscape, with an unobstructed perspective of the surrounding hills. The cowboy tub is a plunge-style tub rather than an in-ground swimming pool and is unavailable November through March.
The pergola creates another intimate gathering place, with woven lounge chairs arranged around a modern fire pit. It's a particularly inviting spot as the evening cools, whether you're sharing a bottle of wine, enjoying dinner from the BBQ, or lingering outside beneath the desert sky.
-Living Area-
Inside, the living room combines minimalist architecture with relaxed, comfortable furnishings. A generous white sectional wraps around a round wood coffee table, creating an inviting space to spend time together without feeling crowded.
Large sliding glass doors frame the surrounding vegetation and mountains, making the scenery part of the room. Open them to connect the living area to the patio, or settle in for a quieter evening with a movie. A TV, board games, and books offer entertainment when you're ready to come inside, while high-speed Wi-Fi makes it easy to stay connected.
-Kitchen and Dining-
The kitchen is a standout example of the home's restrained, thoughtful design. Pale oak cabinetry, white countertops, black fixtures, and a softly curved breakfast counter create a warm, contemporary space. Multiple windows look directly onto the desert, so even preparing breakfast comes with a view.
Fully equipped for meals at home, the kitchen includes a refrigerator, cooktop, two ovens, microwave, dishwasher, cookware, and dining essentials. Coffee lovers will appreciate the provided coffee maker, beans, grinder, and sugar.
The round indoor dining table offers a comfortable place to gather over dinner, while the covered outdoor dining area gives you the option to take meals outside. With the patio just steps away, cooking and conversation can easily carry from one space to the next.
-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-
Nexus accommodates up to four guests across two thoughtfully furnished bedrooms, each maintaining the home's calm, contemporary aesthetic.
The king bedroom offers a comfortable retreat with an upholstered headboard, warm desert-inspired artwork, and bedside reading lights. A small desk beside the window provides a convenient spot to catch up on work or enjoy a quiet moment.
The second bedroom features a queen bed, understated artwork, and a window looking out toward the surrounding desert landscape. Both rooms offer a restful setting away from the main gathering spaces.
The shared bathroom carries the home's contemporary finishes through to a spacious double vanity with illuminated mirrors and a glass-enclosed rainfall shower. An outdoor shower provides an additional place to rinse off after a day outside.
A stacked washer and dryer adds convenience for longer stays or adventures that leave a little desert dust behind.
